Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Ultra renders surface, hinting major design change

Samsung is reportedly developing a new smartwatch named the ‘Galaxy Watch7 Ultra.’ This aligns with earlier reports indicating Samsung’s continuation of the Classic series with this new model, featuring a unique design.

According to reports from Smartprix and OnLeaks, Samsung will introduce new hardware, including the Galaxy Watch7 series. For the first time, this series will include an Ultra variant, the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra, whose renders have been leaked.

The Galaxy Watch7 Ultra will feature an eccentric square-ish outer frame with a circular display inside, departing from the traditional circular dial. However, it will retain the rotating bezel seen in previous Classic variants, as shown in the renders.

The watch will have a circular display, simplifying UI optimization, yet its slightly rounded square design offers a unique appearance, reminiscent of One UI default icons.

With a 1.5-inch diameter display, the Watch7 Ultra maintains consistency with its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. However, its overall dimensions are larger at 47 x 47.4 x 16.4 mm. The rotating dial now features lines instead of numbers to denote hours.

The Ultra model includes a third circular button, possibly offering unique functions. The back of the watch features a circular array of sensors, unlike the Galaxy Watch6 Classic.

The strap appears wider, and the body features tiny holes, speculated to be microphones, along with a larger speaker grille. It will be available in black and white colors as seen in renders.

Launch date?

The Galaxy Unpacked event, reportedly scheduled for July 10th in Paris, will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and Galaxy Ring. The Galaxy Watch7 Ultra is also expected to debut alongside these devices.
