Activision has announced a free multiplayer and Zombies weekend Free Trial for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 starting today, April 4.
This coincides with the launch of the game’s Season 3, allowing new players to experience the new content introduced in Season 3, including newly-released maps and popular game modes.
Modern Warfare III – Free Weekend Details
The free multiplayer weekend features five more 6v6 modes, including Capture the Flag, introduced for Season 3. Players can enjoy these modes on six maps, including Das Haus, Stash House, Rust, and the newly added Emergency map.
Zombies enthusiasts can delve into the traditional Modern Warfare Zombies mode along with Hordepoint, experiencing maps like Tetanus, Satan’s Quarry, and Skidgrow.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Season 3
Season 3, launched on April 3, brings significant updates to both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone 2. Six new 6v6 maps have been added for multiplayer, including Emergency, 6 Star, Grime, Tanked, Growhouse, and Checkpoint.
Capture the Flag and One in the Chamber modes make their return, while Minefield and Escort will appear in the later Reloaded update. Warzone sees the return of Rebirth Island for Resurgence mode, alongside new features such as a biometric scanner, smart displays, and the Squad Rage field upgrade.
The Season Pass introduces new operators Banshee, Hush, and Snoop Dogg, along with four new unlockable weapons. Additionally, new Store highlights include the Cheech & Chong Tracer Pack and the Godzilla x Kong: New Empire Bundles.
Availability and Duration
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Free Trial runs from April 4 to April 8, 2024. It is available for download on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms.
However, after the trial period ends, players will need to purchase the full game to continue playing.
