Google Pixel 8 with smaller 6.1″ 120Hz FHD+ and Pixel 8 Pro with 6.7″ 120Hz QHD+ flat OLED display surfaces

After the details about the Google Tensor G3 SoC, and the camera specifications, display specifications of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have surfaced, thanks to Android Authority.

This reveals that the Pixel 8 will get a smaller 6.1-inch 120Hz display compared to the 6.3-inch 90Hz screen in the Pixel 7.

The surprising change is the move from curved to a flat screen in the Pixel 8 Pro, which is said to get the same 6.7-inch QHD+ screen, but 490 PPI pixel density, down from 512 due to the change in resolution.

It also reveals that the refresh rate can go down to 5 Hz in the Pro model and 10 Hz in the Pixel 8, compared to 30Hz in the Pixel 7 series.

Google is said to be finally upgrading display brightness from 1000 nits in the Pixel 7 series to 1400 nits and 1600 nits in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, respectively.
