OPPO F21 Pro Unboxing and First Impressions

OPPO today launched the F21 Pro smartphone in India, along with the F21 Pro 5G and the Buds Air2 Pro. This packs a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED 90Hz screen, 32-megapixel front camera inside the punch-hole, 64MP triple rear cameras with bokeh flare portrait, has support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. We got hold of the phone, and here is our unboxing.

The OPPO F21 Pro has a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is good as well. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

It has a small punch-hole that houses 32-megapixel camera. The proximity and ambient light sensors are present under the screen. The earpiece is present on the top edge. Powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC, the phone has 8GB of RAM and 5GB of RAM expansion.

The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner which is quick to unlock the phone.

Coming to the button placements, the power button is present on the right side, the volume rockers are present on the right along with the dedicated dual SIM + microSD slot arranged in a single tray. The secondary microphone is on the top, the 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. Audio from the speakers are decent even though it’s mono.

The phone features a 64-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel mono portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel microscope camera with 15x/30x magnification. There is an orbit light around the camera. It supports up to 1080p 30 fps video recording. It has bokeh flare portrait for photos, but doesn’t support portrait video.

Coming to the design, the Sunset Orange colour variant that we have has a Fibreglass-Leather back that blends into the phone offering an attractive look and yet it is slim. The phone also comes in Cosmic Black variant that uses OPPO Glow technology to make the back cover look glossy. The phone packs a 4500mAh with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. It is 7.5mm thick and weighs 175 grams.

The OPPO F21 Pro is priced at Rs. 22,999 and will be available from Amazon.in starting from April 15th.
