Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been constantly adding new features to its platform like the recent iPhone to Android chat history transfer. Following that now, the company is reworking the privacy settings and is testing new options on the iOS and Android apps.
In a future update, WhatsApp will let users hide the ‘last seen’, ‘profile picture’, and ‘about’ from specific contacts. Until now, the privacy setting allowed users to hide it from either Everyone, Contacts, or Nobody. The new option will be named ‘My Contacts Except…’ which will bring more granular control in the privacy setting.
This feature is still under development and will be soon rolled out to the beta users on Android and iOS. We should know more information in the coming weeks.
