Samsung One UI 3.1 adds improved Single Take, Multi Mic Recording and more to Galaxy S20 series and Note20 series

Samsung has begun rolling out their latest One UI 3.1 update to the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series, and with it, they are bringing a few features that were launched with the S21 series. These include an improved Single Take, improved touch autofocus and auto-exposure controller, multi-mic recording, a Eye Comfort Shield mode and more.

The One UI 3.1 update primarily brings new camera features to Samsung’s flagship lineup of smartphones that were released in 2020. Their Single Take feature has improved to work faster and better than before.

Samsung added an Object Eraser tool that can help removing distracting elements in a photo and produce a cleaner image. Using it as simple as tapping an area containing the object you want to remove and the editor will select the object within and erase it.

The auto-exposure controller has been updated to give users more control over the setting. Tapping on an area to focus will now bring up a horizontal slider, which can be used to edit the brightness of the shot before it is taken. Adjusting the slider can be done by swiping left or right anywhere on the screen.

The Galaxy S21 series introduced a feature called Multi-mic recording, where the phone could record audio from multiple sources when using Pro Mode, which can include the front mic, rear mic of the smartphone and maybe a connected Bluetooth device such as TWS earphones.  This feature is now coming to these compatible smartphones with One UI 3.1.

The Eye Comfort Shield has been updated with the ability to automatically change the amount of Blue light on screen depending on the time of the day.

One UI 3.1 also will provide users with an option to delete the location metadata in images before sharing, which can improve their privacy.

These new updates in One UI 3.1 will be rolling out starting today to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy Note20, Galaxy Note20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold2 and Galaxy Z Flip.
