OPPO introduces ColorOS 6 with improved UI for full-screen devices, gradient colors, new font and more

OPPO on its 5th anniversary of ColorOS last week, introduced ColorOS 6, the next major upgrade that will be designed for full-screen devices bringing improved UI, gradient colors, new OPPO Sans font, new animations and more. The company said that ColorOS is now present in 2.5 billion devices across 140 counrties 

ColorOS 6 discards a lot of style lines and white space for a clear interface. The main aim is to increase information density and make the  interface more elegant and comfortable to read, says the company. New Gradient color system is used in the new UI more extensively.

The new OPPO Sans developed in cooperation with Hanyi, a well-known domestic font manufacturer offers a more modern and simple style, with more uniform strokes and more tidy visual performance.

It introduces slow and smooth animation to focus on rich detail and new animation experience. It also has built-in AI features to learn which apps you use frequently and suspend unused apps to improve power efficiency and reduce overall power consumption by 7%.

ColorOS 6 will roll out starting from top-end smartphones like R17 and R17 Pro starting from December.
