Apple introduces new MacBook Air with 13.3-inch Retina display, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, 8th gen Intel Core processor starting at $1199

Apple has introduced an all-new MacBook Air as expected. The latest 2018 edition MacBook Air sports a 13.3-inch Retina display and for the first time, it also comes with Touch ID that is supported with the T2 security chipset. The Apple MacBook Air comes with 3rd gen Butterfly keyboard, a spacious Force Touch trackpad, faster SSDs, wide stereo sound.

It features a stunning 13.3-inch Retina display with over 4 million pixels of resolution, 48% more colour colors than the previous generation. It also includes a built-in FaceTime HD camera, as well as a three microphone array for better sound quality. The MacBook Air now includes Touch ID fingerprint sensor built right into the keyboard which allows you to conveniently and instantly unlock the notebook.

It also includes Force Touch trackpad, which delivers pressure-sensing capabilities and haptic feedback, and is 20% larger compared to the previous model. Apple says that the speakers are 25% louder. It is powered by the 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor, Intel UHD Graphics and faster 2133 MHz system memory up to 16GB and up to 1.5TB SSD storage. The MacBook Air now comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports.

It is capable of delivering up to 12 hours of battery life and up to 13 hours of iTunes movie playback. It weighs 2.75 pounds is a quarter pound lighter than the previous generation. The company also announced new MacBook Pro graphics options with Radeon Pro Vega graphics to MacBook Pro

The new Apple MacBook Air comes in gold, space grey and silver colors and the 128GB variant starts at $1,199 (Rs.88,160 approx.) and the 256GB version is priced at $1,399 (Rs. 1,02,890 approx.). You can order the laptop from today in the US and it will be available from November 7th. The new MacBook Air costs Rs. 1,14,900 (MRP) for the 128GB version and Rs. 1,34,900 for the 256GB version in India. It will go on sale on November 7th along with the US.
