Samsung CJ79 34-inch curved monitor with Thunderbolt 3 and CJ89 43-inch and 49-inch curved monitors roll out starting from Europe

Samsung Electronics today has announced the roll out of CJ79 34-inch and CJ89 43-inch curved monitors. The CJ79 features Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and is designed for creative and business audiences. It was introduced at the CES earlier this year, and is compatible with Macs and PCs, the CJ79 features two Thunderbolt 3 ports that transmit display, data, and power at a processing speed of up to 40 Gigabits per second, eight times faster than USB 3.0, and simultaneously charges devices up to 85 watts(W).

The Samsung CJ79 34-inch (3440×1440) features an ultra-wide curved display with its 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports Picture-by-Picture (PBP) feature, professionals can display two sources and for optimal multi-tasking, the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) feature allows users to resize the second source to up to 25 percent of the screen and position.

It comes with height-adjustable stand and tilt functionality allowing users to customize the positions. The monitor features Quantum Dot technology with across a 125% sRGB color spectrum. The curved VA panel technology produces a 3,000:1 contrast ratio far surpassing conventional monitors and amplifies previously hidden details across the entire screen through pristine shades, deeper blacks, and brighter whites.

The AMD FreeSync synchronizes the refresh rate of graphics cards to reduce image tearing and stutter. As for the CJ89 43 / 49-inch curved monitor, these come with 3840 x 1200 resolution, 32:10 aspect ratio, built-in KVM switch, two USB-Type C ports and built-in stereo speakers.

The Samsung’s CJ79 and CJ89 (43″ and 49″) monitors are currently available in Europe, and will eventually roll out worldwide. These are also available in Hong Kong at HK$9,080 (US$ 1,155 / Rs. 81,065 approx), HK$11,980  (US$ 1,525 / Rs. 1,06,970 approx)  and HK$ 13,980 (US$ 1,780 / Rs. 1,24,90 approx), respectively.
