Microsoft Sharepoint mobile apps announced

Microsoft has announced Sharepoint mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows. These apps will offer users full-fidelity access to company news and announcements, people, sites, content and apps.

In addition, these apps will incorporate on-premises SharePoint sites. SharePoint Mobile app will allow users to have full access to their team’s files, calendars, and announcements news feed on the go. The SharePoint app will contain Sites, Links, People, and Search tabs and so on. In the future, the apps will also offer the ability to sign in with multiple accounts.

Microsoft will first release Sharepoint app for iOS by end of June while the Android and Windows apps will follow later this year. The company is also looking forward to release a OneDrive Universal Windows app by the end of June. Microsoft plans to integrate SharePoint sites and Office 365 Groups by the end of 2016. Moreover, company’s Flow service which lets you automate tasks, will also be integrated into SharePoint by the end of the year.
