Box Contents

  • Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual smartphone in Gold colour
  • Micro USB Cable
  • Sony Quick Charger UCH10 (5V/1800mA (9W), 9V/1700mA (15.3W), 12V/1275mA (15.3W))

Our review unit is not the retail box, so it doesn’t come with a Sony Quick Charger.

The Xperia Z5 Premium has a 5.5-inch (3840×2160 pixels) Triluminos Display at 806 PPI. Most other specifications are similar to the Xperia Z5 dual, including an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.1 (Lollipop), 5-megapixel camera on the front with EXMOR R sensor with 1080p full HD video recording, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and expandable memory up to 200GB via microSD card.

Next to the Xperia Z5, the Z5 Premium with a 5.5-inch display looks bigger, otherwise they look the same.

It has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button that is present on the right side. The volume rockers and a dedicated camera shutter button are also present on the right side. Even though both the smartphones are in gold color, the Z5 Premium has a slightly darker shade of gold.

It has mirror finish on the back, compared to the frosted glass finish on the Xperia Z5. It has a 23-megapixel camera on the back with 1/2.3-inch Sony Exmor RS image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Sony G lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s and support for 4K video recording. It has a 3430mAh built-in battery, slightly bigger than the Xperia Z5 Dual’s 2900mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual is now available in India for Rs. 55,000, down from the launch price of Rs. 62,990. We will bring you the benchmarks, battery life test results and more in coming days before the final review.
