Apple iPhone event scheduled for September 9

Apple just sent out invites for the iPhone event on September 9th, as expected, where it will likely announce the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus smartphones. The invite shows different colors, which could hint at new colors of upcoming iPhones and “Hey Siri” tagline could hint at Apple TV’s new remote control with integrated microphone for Siri-based voice control.

According to earlier rumors, the iPhone 6s is expected to come with a Force Touch display, new colors, 12-megapixel camera and improved wireless connectivity. These smartphones will run on the new iOS 9 that will be available for other Apple devices next month. These are also expected to get animated wallpapers, similar to the Apple Watch.

Apple is also expected to introduce its new Apple TV at the event with slimmer design, faster Apple A8 chip, improved remote that integrates a touch pad for input and microphone for Siri based voice control. The iPad Pro with a large screen might also be introduced at the event, rather than a separate event in October.

The event kicks off at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) or 10:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) on September 9th at Bill Graham auditorium in San Francisco, California. Apple will also offer live stream for the event, surprisingly Windows users too can watch the event, but it works only on Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10.
