Instagram rolling out Quick Edit feature for Android

Instagram is now rolling out a new feature across Android smartphones called Quick Edit. The feature will be available to users who update or install v7.3.0 of the application.

The new feature allows users to directly get into posting a new photo to their Instagram profile without having to edit them. Previously, users had to crop their photo then apply their filters or just skip them before being able to add captions, tag people etc.

The new screen allows users to quickly apply filters by swiping to the left or right and then adding the necessary information to post it directly. The old edit features are still there for you to use and you can do so by simply clicking the edit button. You can also tag people, choose on what social networks you wish to share and quickly add a location. There is a quick toggle up to choose whether to send the photo to your followers or to send it to someone directly. While the update is rolling out at the moment, it may still take a while for it to become available on your particular device so do give it some time to appear on your phone.
