Motorola is apparently planning to announce the 3rd generation Moto X as well as the Moto G at an event on July 28th. Now, the third generation of the Motorola Moto G (XT1550) has been imported into India for testing purposes.

The listing on Zauba shows 95 units each of the Black as well as White variant being imported into Bangalore from Hong Kong for testing. A separate two pieces have been imported for testing as well from China into India.

The listing confirms that the phone will have a 5 inch screen, 2GB of RAM as well as 8GB of ROM. Apart from this, MobileSyrup has spotted a dummy 3rd Generation Moto G which shows various features as well as specifications on the front.

While the earlier generations of Moto G did have water repellent coatings, it seems that the upcoming generation be IPX7 water resistant. It will support 4G LTE, microSD card slot and will be powered by a quad-core processor and a 2470 mAH battery. It will have a 13 Megapixel primary camera dual-LED flash and a secondary 5 Megapixel camera.
