Asus ZenPad S 8.0 Hands on and Photo Gallery

Asus announced the ZenPad series of tablets at the Computex 2015. We went hands on with the ZenPad S 8.0, and here is a detailed look at the hardware of the tablet.

The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 sports a 8-inch (2048×1536 pixels) 4:3 display, 324 ppi, 178-degree viewing angle, Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 / 3580 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU. Running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Zen UI, it comes with 2GB / 4GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB / 64GB internal memory and expandable memory with microSD. There is a 5MP front-facing camera at the front along with earpiece.

It has Asus branding below the display and also dual Front Speakers with DTS HD Premium Sound, Sonic Master technology.

The power button and volume rocker are present on the right side. The tablet measures 203.2 x 134.5 x 6.68mm and weighs 317g.

The micro SD card slot is present at the back.

The ZenPad S 8.0 has a 8MP or 5MP Auto Focus rear camera with 1080p Full HD video recording. It has a textured pattern on the back cover along with the Asus branding.

The ZenPad S 8.0 has a 15.2Wh battery and it supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. The tablet also comes with USB 3.0 Type-C support. It is available in Black, White, and Aurora Metallic colors. Asus has not announced the pricing or the availability of the tablet.
