Evernote for Android gets Business Card Scanning

Evernote has added Business Card scanning feature for its Android app.  By simply scanning the card, the contact gets stored in your phonebook immediately.

In order to scan a business card, users will have to open Business Card camera mode in Evernote and take a photo. The app will instantly recognize and digitize the information on the card. Evernote said that the business card scanning mode is a premium feature that is being added to Android.

Evernote can also connect to LinkedIn and look up the contact for you to add automatically. And the app is also offering unlimited business card scanning for an entire year if you connect Evernote to LinkedIn. In September, Evernote for Android got fresh UI for note creation, editing, viewing, and search.
