SanDisk has announced its SANDISK NAS SSD portfolio for network-attached storage (NAS) environments. The lineup includes the SANDISK NAS 600 SATA SSD and SANDISK NAS 800 NVMe SSD.
The company said the growing use of private cloud integration and local data and AI management is contributing to demand for NAS storage solutions for personal and business data.
SANDISK NAS 600 SATA SSD
The SANDISK NAS 600 SATA SSD is aimed at creative professionals and small businesses upgrading NAS systems from HDDs to SSDs or adding SSDs for caching and storage tiering. It uses a 2.5-inch, 7mm SATA form factor and fits existing 3.5-inch NAS drive bays that support 2.5-inch SSDs.
In addition, the SSD offers sequential read speeds of up to 560MB/s, while the 4TB model provides endurance of up to 2,500TBW and an MTTF rating of up to 2.25 million hours. It is available in capacities from 500GB to 4TB and supports multi-drive and RAID configurations. The NAS 600 also has no mechanical noise and is intended for multi-user and content-rich workflows.

SANDISK NAS 800 NVMe SSD
Meanwhile, the SANDISK NAS 800 NVMe SSD is intended for all-flash and hybrid NAS systems handling demanding or business-critical workloads. It uses PCIe 5.0 and an M.2 2280 form factor, with capacities ranging from 960GB to 7.68TB.
The SSD can be used as primary storage, cache or storage-tiering hardware for workloads including:
- Multi-user collaboration
- Databases and virtualization
- Content creation
- Agentic AI
For performance, the 7.68TB model offers endurance of up to 14PBW, while the 3.84TB model delivers random read/write speeds of up to 2.3 million/2 million IOPS. The 1.92TB model reaches sequential read/write speeds of up to 14,900/13,200MB/s.
Additionally, the NAS 800 uses SANDISK TLC 3D NAND and has been tested with leading NAS systems for M.2 2280 compatibility.
