AI Mode brings answers based on real public posts
Meta is launching AI Mode on Facebook, powered by Meta AI, to provide direct answers within the app. The feature works across Feed and Search and uses publicly available content from Meta’s apps, including Groups and Reels.
Instead of showing only traditional search results, AI Mode delivers responses based on what people are saying publicly, helping users access real experiences and perspectives rather than generic listings.
Meta AI, powered by Muse Spark, is also integrated across these experiences and appears within existing browsing and content discovery flows.
AI tools for creating photos and videos
Meta is adding new AI-based editing features to simplify content creation and sharing. These updates build on camera roll suggestions and introduce new automated creative formats.
Key features include:
- AI-generated collage suggestions based on camera roll content
- Cutout-based collage templates, including examples like “friend hangs from the last month”
- New transition effects for creating smooth video montages
- One-tap tools to generate share-ready videos and collages
These features are opt-in and can be disabled at any time. They are designed to help users quickly turn stored photos and clips into ready-to-share content.
AI photo presets and profile customization tools
Meta is also introducing AI-powered photo presets that allow users to modify clothing, hairstyles, and accessories.
The update includes:
- “Wear It” feature for applying outfits digitally, including sports jerseys for fandom expression
- “Restyle profile picture with AI” available via profile settings or Stories
- AI Edit icon in Stories for quick access to editing tools
These features provide users with additional ways to personalize and edit profile images using AI.
