Canva has integrated with Perplexity Computer, allowing users to turn AI-generated research, briefs and insights into editable presentations, social media assets, infographics and brand kits.
Canva integrates with Perplexity Computer
Canva has announced an integration with Perplexity Computer, bringing its design and AI capabilities into the platform.
The company says content creation is now the top reason small businesses use AI, with 74% relying on digital platforms to compete with larger enterprises. It also notes that Perplexity has more than 100 million monthly active users and is widely used for research and strategic insights.
Canva adds that it helps millions of small businesses bring ideas to life and is becoming a design system used when research and strategy need to be turned into usable outputs.
With the integration, when Perplexity generates a strategy, competitive analysis or brief, Canva can convert it into an editable visual asset for further refinement and publishing.
From ideas to usable creative output
Canva highlights that small and growing businesses often face a gap between planning and execution because research tools and design tools are separate, requiring manual work between stages.
With the Canva connector in Perplexity Computer, users can connect Canva via the Connectors page, describe what they need, and generate a structured brief using:
- Meeting notes
- Performance data
- Live web context
Canva then converts this into presentations, social campaigns, infographics or brand kits that remain editable and can be published across platforms.
Examples of outputs include:
- A sales lead becoming a tailored outreach deck
- A client meeting becoming a polished proposal
- A seasonal trend becoming a short campaign
Canva says this helps reduce the gap between identifying an idea and turning it into a usable asset.
Built for execution, not only insights
Canva notes that AI tools are effective at generating information, but often still require manual effort to convert outputs into usable content.
With this integration, designs created through Perplexity Computer remain fully editable inside Canva. Users can refine, collaborate and reuse assets depending on their workflow needs.
Part of Canva’s broader AI ecosystem strategy
Canva says the integration reflects its long-term focus on making design tools available across AI systems where work begins.
The company previously launched the Canva MCP Server to connect AI systems with Canva’s design capabilities. Canva states that this approach is based on more than a decade of design experience and billions of design interactions.
It also reports more than 250 million monthly users across 190 countries, with AI usage on the platform increasing significantly over the past year.
Canva is currently integrated across multiple AI platforms, including:
- Claude
- ChatGPT
- Copilot
- Gemini
- Perplexity Computer
