Acer has introduced the Chromebook 311 (C725) and Chromebook Spin 311 (R725T), designed for K-12 classroom use. The Chromebooks are powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 540 processor. They provide up to 15 hours of battery life and fast-charging capabilities.
The devices have a fanless, whisper-quiet design. The Chromebook Spin 311 (R725T) has a 360-degree hinge convertible design, allowing use in four modes, including tablet mode. The Chromebook 311 (C725) has a clamshell design that is compact and lightweight.
Both models feature an 11.6-inch LED-backlit HD (1366×768) IPS display. The Spin 311 offers an optional Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass display, and both can include a TÜV Rheinland-certified display with low blue-light emissions.

- Quick Insert key for one-touch access to tools, menus, and applications

The Chromebooks meet MIL-STD 810H testing standards and include durability features:

- Keyboard drainage system handling up to 330 ml (11 oz) of liquid
- Rubber feet for secure handling
The Chromebooks have modular and sustainability features that facilitate repair, reduce environmental impact, and support long-term use. These include a serviceable keyboard removable with two screws, mechanically anchored keys for IT repair, modular USB Type-C port, use of PCR plastics, eco-friendly packaging, energy-efficient design, and compliance with EPEAT, Energy Star, and TCO certifications.

The Chromebooks are available with Chrome Education Upgrade, which enables:

- Data protection for administrators, teachers, and students
