Snap has unveiled Snap OS 2.0, the updated operating system for its Spectacles AR glasses, preparing for the consumer launch of sixth-generation Specs in 2026. The new system introduces an overhauled interface, enhanced browser, improved sharing tools, and new AR utilities.

The Gallery Lens enhances media viewing and sharing:

  • Travel Mode stabilizes AR content while moving, including planes, trains, and cars.

AR Lenses & Games

Developers from 30 countries are creating Lenses for Spectacles, including:

  • SightCraft by Enklu
  • NavigatAR by Utopia Labs
  • Pool Assist by Studio ANRK

Snap’s in-house Lenses include Finger Paint, Chess, and Imagine Together.

  • Synth Riders, a rhythm-based AR game, will allow players to interact with music while remaining aware of their surroundings.
