LG Electronics has expanded its xboom Buds lineup with three new models — Buds Plus, Buds, and Buds Lite — tuned by musician will.i.am, building on the success of the original xboom Buds launched in January.
xboom Buds
The xboom Buds feature an ear-hook design for a secure and comfortable fit. Graphene drivers deliver detailed audio, while Active Noise Cancellation reduces low-frequency sounds such as road and engine noise. Call quality is enhanced by a three-microphone system with beamforming to focus on the speaker’s voice.
Battery life reaches up to 10 hours per charge and 30 hours with the case, or approximately 7.5 hours per charge and 24 hours in total with ANC enabled. The earbuds carry an IPX4 rating for sweat and splash resistance. Auracast support allows synchronized playback across compatible devices, and the earbuds pair easily with LG gram laptops.
xboom Buds Plus
Buds Plus are designed for users seeking a more refined audio experience. Adaptive EQ adjusts the sound profile in real time based on ear fit, maintaining balanced output.
A triple-microphone system improves ANC performance and call clarity. The charging case includes UVnano technology to reduce bacteria on ear gels and speaker mesh.
It also supports Plug & Wireless functionality, allowing it to act as a Bluetooth transmitter for non-Bluetooth devices such as airplane entertainment systems or gym equipment. The case supports wireless charging, and Auracast allows multi-device synchronized audio playback.
xboom Buds Lite
Buds Lite focus on simple, long-lasting performance. They use graphene drivers for clear, balanced sound and feature Mild ANC with four EQ presets selectable through the app.
Playback lasts up to 11.5 hours per charge and up to 35 hours with the case. The earbuds have a lightweight, ergonomic design with multiple ear tip sizes to ensure a secure, comfortable fit for daily use, commuting, or travel.
xboom Buds App
The companion app, available on iOS, Android, and Windows (LG gram), offers EQ presets, noise cancellation controls, and fit optimization tools, including the Noise Cancelling Optimization tool for Buds Plus.
