Apple has announced that applications for the Swift Student Challenge 2024 are now available, continuing from last year’s announcement.
The Swift Student Challenge aims to support young developers, creators, and entrepreneurs. Since its launch in 2020, it has provided thousands of student developers with the chance to showcase their coding skills and creativity.
What’s New for 2024: Swift Student Challenge
In the Swift Student Challenge 2024, students are encouraged to build an app playground that demonstrates their coding abilities within a 3-minute experience on a topic of their choice.
Additionally, there’s an opportunity for students to enhance their coding skills through resources like Swift Playgrounds and Xcode, as well as attending coding sessions at local Apple stores.
Recognition and Rewards
For the 2024 Challenge, Apple plans to acknowledge 50 Distinguished Winners out of 350 winners, inviting them to Cupertino for a special experience.
All challenge winners will receive a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program, a voucher for the App Development with Swift certification exam, and a special gift from Apple.
Availability
Applications for the Swift Student Challenge 2024 are open until February 25, 2024. Eligibility requirements and instructions for building the app playground can be found on the official website.
