Acer rugged Chromebook 11 C771 with 6th gen Intel chip announced starting at $279.99

Acer has announced a rugged Chromebook 11 C771 that sports an 11.6-inch display (1366×768) with 180-degree hinge. It is powered by 6th-generation Intel Core and Celeron processors and can support upto 4GB of RAM.

Acer says the Chromebook C771 is durable as it meets military standards for drops, dust resistance and water resistance. It can also survive up to 132 pounds of force when closed. Moreover, the device is protected against spills of up to 330ml of water with its spill-resistant keyboard. There is an optional touch screen variant of the device. It is 21mm thin and weighs just 1.35kg.

Battery life for the C771T models with a touch screen is claimed at up to 12 hours of battery life, while the C771 models can provide up to 13 hours. It has a built-in microSD card reader, one USB-C, two USB 3.0 and one HDMI port,

The Acer Chromebook C771 a touch-screen (model C771T-C1WS) or non-touch (model C771-C4TM) IPS display are priced at $329.99 and $279.99. The devices are aimed at school going kids and business.
