iPhone 8 tipped again to sport 5.8-inch OLED display

We have already seen several reports that a high-end iPhone 8 will sport an OLED display. Now, a latest one from Nikkei Asian Review says that the premium iPhone 8 will feature a 5.8-inch OLED display while 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 7s and a 5.5-inch Apple iPhone 7s Plus will sport LCD displays.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities had also said that iPhone 8 will use a 5.8-inch OLED display of which 5.15 inches will be used for screen content while the rest is being reserved for a “function area” at the bottom that will house virtual buttons. The report further added that the larger screen size will help raise the average price of an iPhone, which is currently near $700. The premium iPhone 8 model is said to cost around $1000.

The new iPhones are expected to feature iris scanner, wireless charging and come with other major changes as it is Apple’s 10th Anniversary.
