Google launches Launchpad Accelerator for mobile startups in India and two other countries

Google has launched Launchpad Accelerator a 6-month equity-free accelerator for mobile startups. The program will offer support and training to help high-potential startups in India, Brazil and Indonesia build high quality apps and successful businesses.

The Launchpad accelerator connect developers with Google professionals, mentors and equity-free funding  of up to $50,000 per startup. The Launchpad Accelerator will give startups six months of support, including an all-expense-paid trip to Google’s headquarters in Silicon Valley and the chance to work with Google’s engineers and mentors during the program, access to Google engineers, resources, and mentors both during and after the program, credits for using Google products. The Launchpad accelerator starts on January 18 and will bring up to 20 startups to Google’s headquarters for two-weeks of intensive programming. After that training, the startups will return to their countries and work with local and remote mentors.

Google said that in coming months it will expand Launchpad Accelerator to more countries. The company is accepting new applications for the next round of the program which begins in mid-2016. Interested developers can apply here.
