Xiaomi announces end-of-support for Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 series, Mi Pad 4 series and more

Xiaomi has added new smartphones to its EOS list. To those unaware, the devices included in the end-of-support list do not receive any firmware update. Xiaomi says that it might not even respond to security vulnerability reports for the devices included in the EOS list. Typically, the company provides security updates for at least 2 years from launch.

Xiaomi announces Android 12 Stable testing program for Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 and Mi 11i

It’s that time of the year, again! Android 12 Stable release for Pixel devices is just around the corner, and Android OEMs have started announcing the next iterations of their proprietary UI. Earlier this month, OPPO announced ColorOS 12, and also released a detailed roll-out plan for OPPO and OnePlus devices. Now, Xiaomi has gone a step ahead, and announced the Android 12 Stable testing program for Mi 11 series devices.

MIUI 9 will be the last update for these phones

At the MIUI 9 Global launch, Xiaomi highlighted the fact that even 5-year-old phones including Mi 2/2S are still getting weekly MIUI updates and will also get MIUI 9 Global Stable update. Lenovo K3 Note vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G – What’s Different?

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G can brag about being one of the first cheap phablets on the Indian market to come out with 4G support. It was announced in November last year and made available at the end of December for a price of Rs 9,999. Since then, Xiaomi has seen good success with it as many people have purchased the smartphone for its features as well as its 4G capability at a low price. Since then, many manufacturers have tried to follow the same mantra and launched their own devices at similar prices and packing similar features. The price of the Redmi Note 4G has been reduced to Rs 7,999 last month but since then Lenovo has hit the market with the K3 Note which also retails at a price of Rs 9,999 which was the original asking rate for the Redmi Note 4G. Although it is costlier, it does offer a few improvements and unique features that probably justify the price. Let’s take a look at the specifications and features of both the devices.
