HTC hints at Desire smartphone launch for CES 2015

HTC has teased a new image that hints at a smartphone launch at CES 2015. The Taiwanese manufacturer has shared an image with the tagline “Always Desire more” on its social media channels in China, along with a reveal date of January 6.

HTC A11 could be a mid range device with 64 bit processor

It looks like HTC is preparing a mid range smartphone as per series of tweets from popular leakster @upleaks.  Dubbed as A11, for now the device will be from HTC’s Desire line and is running on a Snapdragon 410 processor. This is the first ever 64-bit SoC from Qualcomm that was unveiled in December of last year. It has a 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, and an Adreno 306 GPU.

The two devices announced ie the Desire 816 and 610 vary wildly in their target audience but do emphasize the focus on quality that HTC has maintained despite aiming to reach ever lower price points. The upper end device of the two ie the Desire 816 is the most powerful phone in the Desire series of phones and opts for a design that closely mimics the flagship ie the HTC One.
