Similarly, according to a new report, Instagram has been spotted testing a bunch of new features like Layout for Stories, different modes for Boomerang, Comment Sharing and more.

Instagram started rolling out the new Story Camera UI after announcing it at F8 2019 earlier this year. Now, Instagram is testing different gradient color for each icon of different camera modes and this is said to be introduced to differentiate between one mode and another.

Boomerang is one of Instagram’s popular feature and Instagram is testing different modes for Boomerang like Classic, Hold, Dynamic, Slowmo, and Duo. Instagram will also be introducing Grid Layout for Stories which will allow users to choose from a range of grid options and the photos to the layout can be added from the Story camera or from the Camera Roll.

Instagram is also testing Comment Sharing that will allow users to share a specific comment through a dedicated “Share” button that will be present next to each comment.

Apart from this, Notification Filters is also being tested that will only show the specific category of notifications in the Activity tab. Users will also be able to manage and review the authorized third-party apps and websites on their mobile app as the company is also working on bringing App and Websites settings to the app.

All these features are still under testing and there is no timeline on when it will be rolled out.
