Next generation iPhones likely to support wireless charging

KGI Securities, a reliable source for iPhone leaks in the past has stated that upcoming Apple iPhone will support wireless charging. The company is expected to announce three iPhones this fall and all of them will reportedly support wireless charging and glass casing.

Earlier it was reported that only the top-end iPhone with OLED display will come with wireless charging. According to KGI, wireless charging would increase the internal temperature of the phones however, general users are not expected to notice any heat differences. The new hardware component could increase the cost of production by up to $5 per phone.

Apple is expected to bring major design changes to iPhones this year as it is will be company’s 10th anniversary. The company is tipped to release three new iPhones of which one will be a premium model with OLED display and two other iPhones that will be successor of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
