Motorola rolled out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. The Moto X Play got the update earlier this month, Moto G (3rd gen) got it soon after. Yesterday the latest Moto G Turbo Edition smartphone got the Marshmallow update in India. Now the Android 6.0 update release notes for the Moto G (2nd Gen) has gone live on the Motorola India support site (Via), so we can expect it to roll out soon.

The Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) got the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update back in January last year in India. It got patches for Stagefright exploit back in September last year, but it did not get the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) update, so the smartphone is moving directly to Android 6.0.

Motorola confirmed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for a range of smartphones back in October last year. It recently added the Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G to list and said that it will get the Marshmallow update in some regions such as Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia, excluding China.

We will let you know once the Marshmallow update starts rolling out for the Moto G (2nd Gen). The Moto G (2nd Gen) 4G should also get the update soon.
