The 6230i mp3 player sounds better than the 6230 through both the headphones and the speaker. The 6230i has a built in equalizer.
The 6230i plays music through the loudspeaker too. The one main problem the 6230 had was that the Music player of the 6230 could not locate songs in the Folders of the MMC card. The 6230i doesnt have the problem and the Music player plays music off the folders and subfolders of the MMC card without a problem. You need to buy a higher capacity card if you want to use the 6230i as a Music Player. The maximum capacity card officially supported is 512 MB.
