Ever since the S60 2nd Edition days, you would simply have to hit up a small search on the internet to find hundreds upon hundreds of theme overhauls to help you personalize your device and always keep it feeling fresh. If fresh is what you're aching for, then we've got just the thing for you.
IND190, one of my top theme makers right now, has apparently caught wind of the new overhauled Symbian interface that was promised to come to Symbian during the Nokia MWC Event. With fresh icons, a smaller status bar and a more appropriate bottom bar, it should bring a refreshing wind to Symbian and help it stay competitive so that Nokia could sell those remaining 150 Million Symbian phones as they planned.
Well, not to make us wait for this overhaul, which by measuring Nokia's time delay between first glimpse and actual availability, isn't likely to come before 2012, IND190 has decided to create a theme with customized icons that look dauntingly similar to the new Symbian interface. Of course he couldn't change the status bar sizes, but he did his best to emulate the ...

iPhone, the only phone I have been using for 2 years and will use it in future also. I have never used an android before and don't understand why it's after iOS and all the hype surrounded to it, so enough is enough I decided to try out Android before purchasing any Android device.
Now I will be provide step by step guide to enjoy the best of two worlds
Requirements:
iPhone 3G ( As of now, this is only supported)
A Intel based Mac with internet connection(WiFi)
	Apple iOS 3.1.2
I will be diving the guide in different parts, so it will be easier to follow.
Part A- Jailbreaking and downgrading your iPhone to 3.1.2
Steps:
You must have upgraded your iPhone to iOS 4.0, don't worry we can go back.
Connect your iPhone to the USB and put it into DFU mode, iTunes will display an alert stating you need to restore your device, click ok then hold option(shift) + click restore and navigate to your previously downloaded 3.1.2 FW.
After the restore finishes you should be hit with a 1015 error. That’s expected.
Don't worry, download RecBoot (Windows / Mac) and click on "Exit Recovery Mode".
Now for jailbreaking, follow this tutorial.
Part B- Installing Android files on your iPhone
Steps:
Now you need to install OpenSSH on ...

You know the WorldCup, don't you? Errr not that worldcup, the Football WorldCup! Well, if you watched only one second of any match, you must have noticed a weird annoying sound: that's the Vuvuzela! Apparently, in South Africa, they can't play football without that sound. Overly disturbing, isn't it?
Well, the Vuvuzela seems to be all the rage nowadays and you have got to admit that after a couple of matches with its incessant sound in the background, you kind of, sort of, mildly, unconsciously get used to it. So not to be left behind, developers have jumped on the window of opportunity and started producing one Vuvuzela app after the other. I guess the age of fart apps and other bodily sounds is over. Too bad.
Anyway, there's plenty of Vuvuzela apps in the Apple App Store as well as the Ovi Store. If you're becoming too addicted to that monotone sound, just search your application store for "Vuvuzela" and you'll probably find one (if not many) to help you get through those long, long hours when there is no match being played and your craving is overwhelming you.
But here's the kicker, the ultimate FoneArena advice:
If you have a speaker around, ...

Excited, downloaded and installed, yes I am talking about iOS 4.0 night(IST). So yesterday was the day you did this big download and has started enjoying 100 of new features on your Apple devices. Some might have stayed away from this update fearing, they might loose their jailbreak and the device will get locked. Your fear is over all thanks to iPhone Jailbreak team, they have launched their tools within 8 hrs of launch of new iOS.
Note: This only works on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G as of now.
Step 1: If you have iPhone/iPod Touch running OS 3.13(not jailbroken) upgrade to new iOS 4.0.
Step 2: Download redsn0w beta ( This is still a beta version)
Step 3: Open redsn0w and select the iOS 4.0 IPSW that you used to upgrade your iPhone/iPod Touch
Step 4: Then select Install Cydia(mandatory) and other options are optional but they will eat up your battery and slow down your device.
Step 5: Then follow the on screen instructions to successfully jailbreak your device.
Step 6: After your device has been jailbroken it will reboot, after that switch on WiFi(preferred) and click on Cydia. Cydia will take quite amount of time to reorganize, reload and update itself. If ...

Hi folks as we know Nokia N900 does not support sending DTMF request to the operator for credit check and other details.
Finally there is a way to do so with a click of a widget . The widget used to send DTMF request is called the USSD Widget. It is developed by Guseynov Alexey , Martin Grimme.
The widget has two ways of sending the DTMF requests one is by typing the DTMF in codes in USSD dial Pad.
And the other one is USSD Widget
So its now possible to see the DTMF response in the homescreen. This widget support automatic widget checking and many other customizations like font color, widget background colour etc..
The USSD widget need runtime components like
	 python-hildondesktop
	hildon-desktop-python-loader
	pexpect
	ussd-common
And the USSD components like
	 Ussd-pad
	Ussd Widget
You can Download the package with all components here.
Then transfer the contents of zip file to root of N900 i.e N900/
Then goto X-Terminal and Type
sudo gainroot
then
type cd MyDocs
place all the contents of downloaded zip file to root of N900 i.e N900/
then type
dpkg -i filename.deb
example:
dpkg -i python-hildon.deb
likewise install
python-hildondesktop
hildon-desktop-python-loader
pexpect
ussd-pad
ussd-common
ussd Widget
Have a look at the video tutorial for more brief explanation

You just need to visit any centre authorised by COAI & MSAI with your handset and change your IMEI Number at a nominal fee of Rs. 200 only. The Whole process will take you less than half an hour or so. Also you will need to carry an ID proof when you go to change your IMEI number. i.e Your Voter ID card or Driver's Licence, or PAN Card or Passport etc.
If you are wondering if this new IMEI is genuine or not, you can check it for yourself. Just press *#06# on your phone and then send the new IMEI Number as an SMS to 53232 after your handset has been implanted. For E.g. SMS IMEI xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to 53232 without the quotes where xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is your IMEI number. Premium SMS charges apply.
You could also check it online by using this IMEI Validity Tool.

Ya, this happened to me also, when my iPhone was full of Apps & I had to make a decision which are the most useful. But, have you ever wondered to know what are the iPhone home screen's of the very famous talented designers, developers & tech writers ?
Yes, I know you are excited and here First & 20 comes to rescue. First & 20 is a collection of Home screens of some of the best and brightest developers, designers and tech writers. Here you can see the Home Screen of Loren Brichter (founder of atebits, makers of the popular Twitter client Tweetie), Jason Snell (editorial director of Macworld), Tim Van Damme (belgian webdesigner running Made by Elephant) & many more.
It's sometimes difficult to filter the good and bad Apps on Apple's App Store, so this site really helps you to get to know what your favorite developer uses the most and you get to have a pretty good idea which Apps to purchase & use. Nokia N97 is a cool looking phone for sure. One of the unique features of the N97 is the Widgets on the Home Screen of the device and the ability to hide them with just a swipe when you think someone’s spying on your phone’s display.
For example , see the widgets above . I’m checking amazon for hot products, reading my facebook updates, checking how the world economy is doing with the help of the bloomberg widget and also trying to check the weather around GooglePlex . Now suddenly my boss comes over and before he gets the slightest doubt about my vacation plans, I hide all my widgets and show him an empty screen.
You might have already read about Widgets as a part of the Search for N contest. But here below you see it live in action.
As you can see there are 5 widgets
1.Rediff MoneyWiz
The stock markets are doing really well and looks like the recession is going to end soon.
2.Music Player
I’m going to play music from the N97 without having to get into the menus buried inside.
3.Accuweather
Chennai is damn hot today and hope it’s going to rain soon
4.FoneArena Widget
We just built a simple widget to track ...

Well, now you can.
Just head over to http://o.yeswap.com in your mobile browser (Opera Mini or Nokia's native web Browser). There you have lots of bookmarklets related to Twitter, Delicious, Google Reader, Stumbleupon, Zamzar etc.
Click on your preferred bookmarklet. When the page reloads, just press # and 7 to bookmark this page in Opera Mini. Edit the address of the bookmark to remove "http://o.yeswap.com/?" at the beginning and click "Save". Optionally, you may also want to add it to your speed dial menu in Opera Mini for quick access. That's all.
Now you can share any interesting URL’s quickly with all your friends on various social networks.

Inquisitively, I just turned it on and checked the changes it made. Man O Man, I thanks my stars for that. The effects were truly amazing, the look and feel has now changed almost drastically, It has all this cascading, slide down, from behind effects which is usually seen on an iPhone.
To activate it, just go to your Menu -> Settings -> Themes -> General on your 5800. Then select any theme you have installed and click on Options -> Theme Effects. Then click on the "On" button (By default, it is off). That's it. (Note: This hack works on the Default Theme as well, if you have not installed any custom made themes).
Now try going back to Menu, all the cascading effects appear enroute. Though it does not appear on all the actions. But it shows effects in all the basic actions like Opening contacts, the keypad, the shortcuts in the shortcuts bar and also while closing menu, SMS's etc.
Now this makes me think, how many more hidden features may be present in 5800, which we ...

First our phones doubled as a MP3 player, then they bundled as a mass storage device., then as a Camera . Few of our phones could also double as a Flash torch light. But that feature was long reducing in usage as they did not offer that functionality and the feature could tend to be over used which actually caused the camera flash light to diminish in quality and life time. Ofcourse like all technologies the right amount of usage always matters.
Well with that caution here is re introducing the flash light functionality into your S60 5th Edition Nokia Phones.[5800, n97]
Anyway, Harald Meyer has come to the rescue withPhoneTorch for S60 5th Edition, in full Symbian Signed form.
You can download it from the link and please do read the caution as it is still in the development stage and over usage could cause your phone flash to get damaged.

Anyways who does get things right in the first move. So Nokia have decided to get things right and have released the First Firmware update for their mass market touch phone Nokia 5800. We in India dont have to bother to actually download the firmware as all phones bought after Jan 10th have the firmware pre installed.

The Nokia N95 8GB is indeed a wonderful device and what else can be more welcome for a device of this stature other than a firmware update. Close on the heels of updates for N79, 5800 Xm, N95 Classic, Nokia has announced the availability of the Firmware update version 31.0.015 from the current available version 30.0.018. This update is available for unbranded phones only and we fellow Desi’s don’t have to worry as we don’t have to bother about locked or unlocked Nokia phones. This update of the N95 does not have UDP [User Data Preservation]. So don’t forget to back up all your important data.
The update itself is of miniscule nature and consists of preliminarily only few minor cosmetic changes and browser stability and puts to rest some constant Error messages that kept popping after the last update happened.
Approximate change log:
Closing of the SDK security 'hack' for jail breaking personal devices
Minor bug fixes and cosmetic improvements
Photo quality improvements (assuming same algorithm tweaks as for N95 classic v31...)
Better browser stability and speed improvements
So go on folks and look for your ...

Nokia Philippines has come out with ways to identify fake Nokia phones. Nokia N81, Nokia 5310, Nokia N95, Nokia N82, Nokia 6120 are some of the fake Nokia phones in the Philippines market. So next time you are buying a Nokia phone from Philippines or some other place, which is famous for its shady mobile handset bazaars, try one of these and stop getting cheated:
Price of a fake Nokia is almost half or one-third of its original counterpart.
Abnormally lightweight phones can be fake, so beware, for humans light weights are in but not for phones
Fake mobile don’t have the blue colored 12-month warranty sticker. If the phone has the sticker then use the other ways to identify fakes (this is my version)
Unavailability of or poorly printed Nokia Care tamper proof warranty stickers are sign of a fake Nokia mobile handset
Genuine Nokia phones have a tamper-proof label at the back and they also have tamper-proof warranty seal
Original Nokia phone have batteries with hologram showing Nokia “Connecting people” logo and “Original Enhancements” written on them. If you slant the hologram left, right, down, and up you will see 1,2,3 and 4 dots on each side
So next time you buy a Nokia ...
