Vodafone to launch 4G LTE services in Gujarat, Haryana, UP and West Bengal soon

After launching its 4G LTE services or SuperNet 4G in 5 circles – Kerala, Karnataka, Mumbai, Delhi & NCR and Kolkata, Vodafone has announced that it will launch 4G services in Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal in the second phase of roll out. “The nine circles of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal, together contribute to just under 70% of Vodafone India’s data revenues,” said the company.

Vodafone India has announced that it has invested over Rs. 1000 crore to upgrade its network for more than 1 crore customers in the Delhi NCR region. ” Vodafone SuperNet 4G is available across all major work, educational, recreational and Administrative hubs in Delhi NCR including Gurgaon, Dwarka, Airport, Delhi Cantt, Vasant Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, AIIMS, Dhaula Kuan, South Ex, Azadpur, Naraina, Rajouri Garden, Punjabi Bagh, Wazir Pur, Patel Nagar, CP, Peeragarhi, Okhla, Sarita Vihar, Nehru Place, IIT – Delhi,” said the company. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Chidambaram, Sriperumbudur and Karaikudi

Airtel today announced that it has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Chidambaram, Sriperumbudur and Karaikudi in Tamilnadu. It was the first operator to launch 4G in Tamilnadu back in June 2015. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the towns. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Airtel launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi, Kerala back in August last year. Today the company has launched it in Guruvayoor and Kottayam, taking the number of its 4G towns in Kerala to 150. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the cities. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Idea Cellular has selected Nokia to provide the technology for its 4G LTE rollout in three of its key regional circles – Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana. Nokia will also expand Idea Cellular’s 3G network in four circles, as well as modernizing and expanding its 2G networks in six circles. Airtel to acquire Aircel’s 4G spectrum in 8 circles for Rs. 3500 crore

Bharti Airtel has announced that the company and its subsidiary, Bharti Hexacom have entered into definitive agreements with Aircel and its subsidiaries, Dishnet Wireless to acquire rights to use 20 MHz of 2300 Band 4G spectrum for eight circles – Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Assam, North East, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa for an aggregate consideration of Rs. 3,500 crore.

BSNL is the latest telecom company that is foraying into 4G and is looking forward to launch services in 14 telecom circles, according to a latest report from PTI. Idea launches 4G LTE services in Chennai, coming to Coimbatore and Pondicherry soon

Idea today launched its 4G LTE services in Chennai, as it had promised back in December, when it launched 4G services in across 75 Towns in Southern India, including Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur and Kancheepuram. Idea 4G is now available in 29 towns of Tamil Nadu and Chennai. It is available in 20 districts, including major towns of Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Erode & Tirupur, covering 30% of the total population of the circle.
