Here is quick unboxing of the Samsung Omnia W , Samsung's first Windows Phone to be launched in India. We already did a hands on from the India launch event last year. It is powered by a 1.4GHz CPU and sports a 3.7 in Super AMOLED display. It runs on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system and one can download apps from the Windows Marketplace. Take a look at the video below where we unbox the device and also show you a really quick hardware overview of the device.

Make sure you crank up the video quality to 720p for the best viewing experience.
You can also take a quick look at how the Omnia W stacks up against the Nokia Lumia 710

Remember when my good friend Stefanos Kofopoulos tortured the screen of the Nokia N8 in his famous video about a year ago? Well, Stefanos is at it again and sent over this video, where he puts the Gorilla Glass of Nokia's first Windows Phone, the Lumia 800 through it's paces. This video, posted over at his pestaola.gr blog is not for the faint hearted though, Stefanos does not hold back, scratching all over the display with keys, coins and even a Swiss Army knife! I don't know about you, but those scratching sounds just made me cringe. Horrible stuff. What happens to the display you ask? Check out the video after the break and make sure to watch in full HD for full proof and enjoy!

The Galaxy Nexus is world's first phone to run on Android 4.0 which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Google and Samsung unveiled the device in Hong Kong last month and the device went on sale in few markets earlier this month. The handset is priced at around 429 pounds in the UK.The box is unusually long and has the picture of the device on the front and sides.A very simplistic design with subtle marketing material. No mention even of the specs on the outside. The unit we got was a Titanium Silver color. The device boasts of a 4.65 inch SuperAMOLED display with a 720p resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz CPU and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage without an expansion slot. There is a 5MP camera on the back and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. It uses only a normal SIM card slot unlike other recent phones to hit the market like iPhone 4s, Nokia Lumia 800 or Motorola RAZR. Here is the unboxing video without further ado

Last week I finally got a trial Nokia Lumia 800, thanks to the great people at Nokia Connects (former WOM World). Since we already have a full review by our Jon Choo up, I've decided to bring you bits and pieces about it, instead of a second full blown review. So in the upcoming weeks you'll find a lot more content and thoughts about the Lumia 800 here on Fone Arena! As a little preview to my upcoming "What's on my Windows Phone"-post, I've decided to do a little video walkthrough of one of my favourite apps on WP, and that's Metrotube, by Lazyworm Apps.
Metrotube is a Youtube client for Windows Phone, formerly known as Lazytube. First of all, Metrotube is absolutely awesome looking! The guys at Lazyworm have picked up the already georgeous Metro UI, threw in a ton of features and polished all the rounds to create the best Youtube app I've seen in a long time. Features include a live-tile that includes notifications and a chameleon design, that adapts to your current phone theme color, a "pin videos to your homescreen" function, different video playback quality functions and much much more. I especially like the video playback ...

You might have seen the unboxing pics of Motorola RAZR and now we have a short video of the handset being unboxed. As you might see in the video , the box is very compact and reminds us of a box of sweets or something like that. We do have a sweet looking handset inside the red-themed package.httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8Bb_tQkbwE

Football fans always seems to know best, or at least that's what I feel whenever I find myself in a company of one. And I am sure there are a couple of football fans here. Well, don't you ever wished you could control your own real life footballers? Sony Ericsson and Umbro thought they could. They teamed up together to create a live football game called the Kasabian Football Gaming Live.
Check out the video below where Tom from the pop band Kasabian and England striker Darren Bent battles it out via their very own footballer minions, from the comfort of their Sony Ericsson Xperia Play phones. I can only imagine a certain rich Russian oligarchs in London will be hoping to equip this on his team next.

Nokia has organised shows in Singapore to highlight the release of the Nokia N9. It's called N9 Ninjas and it is basically a competition in which you could win a Nokia N9.

Step 1: Collect an exclusive Shuriken card from one of the N9 Ninjas.
Step 2: Swap your Shuriken card for a limited edition Shuriken magnet at one of the redemption locations.

The Nokia N9 has added a lot of new features to the Nokia smartphone range. Of course, it's the first Meego device, and with Meego comes an almost unknown wind of freshness. One feature I'm particularly proud of though, is the enhanced video capturing capabilities. I have been using the N9 for 5 days now, absolutely love it to bits, and the new video features just add to the fun. The Nokia N9's 8 Megapixel camera is shooting videos in 720p HD resolution at 30fps, and now finally features a very nicely working Autofocus while shooting video! As opposed to the Nokia N8, the N9 also seamless switches to Macro functionality, bringing your world up close. The one thing i love the most though, is touch to focus while shooting video. Since the N9 has no hardware camera button (which is a point not everyone might like), the whole focussing business happens directly on your display, so a decent touch AF system was the next logical step - and it's my pleasure to report that Damian Dining, Nokia's camera mastermind and his crew have done just that. I know this might be already present in other devices, however, it's a ...

Yes indeed, it is finally here in my hands: Nokia's long awaited first (and hopefully not the last) Meego Smartphone, the Nokia N9! I got my test device for the upcoming weeks this Friday, thanks to Nokia Austria, enduring a rainy trip to Vienna just to get it as soon as possible! I did not waste much time and proudly present to you now, the unboxing of the georgeous 3,9" Touchscreen device - a true pleasure for me, as i hope it is for you! Enjoy, and if you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I'll answer them as soon as possible!! Watch the video after the break!

We finally got hold of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 and we have to admit this Tablet is pretty attractive. We are big fans of the hardware and the display. We are still getting used to the Android HoneyComb UI. The TouchWiz UI on top of HoneyComb is in fact interesting and an advantage over stock Honeycomb tablets like the Motorola Xoom. The Tab 750 is moderately lighter than the iPad 2 and a tad thinner as well. Samsung had announced this tablet at MWC this year but this tab got a new design after the iPad 2 was announced. Check out the video below where we quickly take a look at the retail box , power on the device and also fire up the browser and do a quick speed test on Vodafone's HSPA network where we managed to clock about 4-5 Mbps download speeds.
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51b7SKWI9_w
The retail box comprises of the Tab 750 , Earphones , USB Data cable , AC plug , USB connector and user manuals.
If you have any questions about the Galaxy Tab 750 , feel free to ask them loud in the comments below and we shall try our best to find an answer for you ...

We all know about the Nokia N8's amazing camera capabilities, right? It may not be the most user-friendly device (well, at least not until Symbian Belle comes out), but the superb build quality and the main aspect of the Nokia N8, the camera, have always spoken for it! Those two aspects are also the reason why i always carry one with me. I always try and find a place somewhere in my bag, just to have it with me, be it as backup device on a long day or as my camera for quick snapshots!
You see, there's quite some love in the air for the Nokia N8, and apparently it is the same with a user called Sascha, who I found via the Nokia Austria Facebook page. Equipped with Camera Pro, Sascha has created a Timelapse Video, that I like so much, I just had to share it! Camera Pro, written in Qt by another fellow austrian, enables the user to access and use a more professional side of the Nokia N8 camera, like an 11x digital zoom, RAW jpg, video recording with 30fps and REAL video autofocus! Another feature of Camera Pro is a Timelapse function, which Sascha used to ...

We had the chance to check out the NFC feature in the newly announced Symbian Belle Phones. You can transfer photos from one phone to another by merely tapping the phones together. Watch the video below to see the technology in action. In the first part of the video a photo is clicked with a Nokia 600 and is sent to another device via NFC or Near Field Communication. In the second part a wallpaper is shared in a similar fashion.
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRRcnAEr-R0
NFC is expected to go main stream in the coming years and looks like Nokia might benefit from the early mover advantage. The Google Nexus S Android phone also supports NFC. The iPhone 5 is rumored to sport NFC.
The application of NFC is not limited to file sharing but can be used for mobile payments , gaming and as authentication tokens. One of the biggest deployments of NFC is in Japan and you can pay for your train fare with your phone.

While I was walking down the buzzing streets of Hong Kong , I came across a rather interesting banner talking about the World's First 4G LTE Service from HK CSL a Hong Kong Mobile Operator which is a subsidiary Telstra Corporation Limited , Australia . 1010 is the premium brand of CSL offering mobile broadband services. CSL had launched the world's first LTE/DC-HSPA+ network in 2010 and we got to test the service at a 1010 store in Hong Kong.
The setup was rather simple with the LTE dongle plugged into the back of a 27inch iMac and the first thing we did was hit speedtest.net. Watch the speed test video below. Its actually amazing to experience such speeds without any wires !
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmVO7hPkc_Y
This is the tiny modem at the back of the iMac
Looks like the Hong Kong Government has a speedtest service. We managed to clock about 28.5 Mbps download and 23.6 Mbps upload speeds.
Here is the dialer / 4G connection manager.
Surprisingly here are the tariffs which are actually pretty reasonable for cutting experiencing cutting edge technology.
Hong Kong 4G LTE Tariffs / Plans
1HKD = Rs.6 / 1HKD = 0.128 USD
So that translates to roughly about Rs.1500 for 1GB of data and ...

We are lucky to get our hands on the LG Optimus 3D which is the world's first 3D phone and the world's first 3D smartphone. The 3D experience does not require you to wear 3D glasses as the phone packs a glassless/glassfree 3D display. You can also capture 3D Video footage and pictures talks to the 3D Stereoscopic camera on the back. The phone was announced this year at Mobile World Congress and the unit we are currently playing with looks a lot more stable and polished. While we work on the full blown review , we decided to do a little preview considering the demand from you lovely readers.Take a look at the video below for a short overview of the Optimus 3D
The phone has a pretty big 4.3 inch display with 4 touch sensitive backlit keys below the display.
On the back you have the Dual 5MP Cameras with a LED Flash.
You have a dedicated 3D key on the right in the same place you would normally find a camera key. It takes you to the 3D menu from where you can access the Camera , Games , Youtube 3D and all your 3D content.

Samsung officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 at Mobile World Congress 2011, and it's probably the best tablet you can get from Samsung. Recently, Samsung launched the redesigned version of it which is slimmer, lighter and faster than the previous one. It's currently available in USA via BestBuy and Samsung recently told us that it's time to tab. Now Samsung is back again with another video telling us the same thing, but this time it comes with a lot of new goodies. In the new video, Samsung is giving us a demo of TouchWiz UI which will be hitting Galaxy Tab 10.1 soon. The video is really nice and will give you an idea how the tablet will look like with TouchWiz UI.
Currently, it's running on Honeycomb stock UI which is also nice but Samsung think they can make it better with their very own TouchWiz UI. It comes with many updated widgets, making the experience better and beautiful. Anyway folks, Samsung didn't tell us when it's officially coming out buy my guess is that it will be out in coming months, so don't forget to check out the video after the break and enjoy your 12 minutes, and ...

Here is a quick look at Multitasking on the Nokia N9 powered by MeeGo. When you see a preview of all the apps currently running , it shows you the every app's current state in realtime and not just a screenshot like in some other platforms. For instance the Compass app reacts to movements even when in the Multitasking view. Pretty impressive ! Watch it in action in the video below.
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfEEBkcTwDo
You can also close apps my clicking on the red cross on the top right corner. You can swipe to the right from an app to get to the menu and swipe to the right again for the multi-tasking view.
Here is a look at the Youtube integration on the N9 and how switching between the video and the menu works wonderfully well.

Here is a short video which shows the famous Angry Birds game running on the Nokia N9. The N900 was the earliest phones to get the game after the iPhone last year and now the N900 successor already has it working.
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J-RgBj2WCk
It looks pretty smooth for version 1 of the game. Please bear in mind that this is a early version and not yet full ready. Are you looking forward to killing some pigs on Angry Birds on the N9 ?

Mere hours after Nokia's MeeGo running N9 got announced , the first WP7 Mango running Nokia has been leaked. The device has been codenamed Sea Ray.
Not just leaked , it has been shown off by Elop in a 21 minute video. So much for the Apple style secrecy. More images and video after the break.
Update Full Video below

While Elop asked everyone to turn off the cameras , looks like someone just didn't get the message. The device is running on the Microsoft's latest version of Windows Phone 7 - Mango as expected. The hardware looks quite similar to the Nokia N9 with the addition of a camera key.

We got to play with the Nokia E6 for a while at the E6 Meetup last week and we decided to put together a really long 10 minute video of the hardware and software on this device. We take a look at the hardware, the new Symbian Anna UI, the Camera , Music and Video playback and also a peek into the new browser.

The hardware feels pretty solid and the addition of the touchscreen is more than welcome. Finally Symbian has got a make over and we can see some new icons . You can check out the unboxing of the E6 if you have not seen it already. Are you looking to pickup the E6. It's currently available for Pre-Order in India and priced at Rs.17999. Let us know if you have any questions about the E6 !

We were at the Nokia E6 Meetup here in India and got a chance to unbox this latest Symbian handset from Nokia. The E6 runs on Symbian Anna and is the first true e-series touchscreen phone to come with a QWERTY keyboard. Nokia is calling it a Touch and Type phone. Dive in below for the unboxing video.
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knN1VF-w4DE
Here are the box contents
	Nokia E6
	1500 mAh BP-4L Battery
	Leather pouch
	AC charger (2.0 mm pin)
	Nokia Stereo Headset WH-207
	User manual
The handset comes with 8gigs of internal memory and a 8MP camera with Flash on the back. We should have a video of the hardware and software soon. If you are big fan of Eseries , you will surely love the E6. Are you going to pick one up ? Regarding the price , Nokia did not reveal any info. but we expect it to be around Rs.20-25K
Note that this is not the final retail package for India. It had the Australian branding on the box. We just could not resist unboxing this device.

Most of you might know that I have been in traveling in USA during most of this month. Although the iPad 2 was sold out in most places, I managed to grab an Apple iPad 2 - 64GB WiFi+3G Model from an Apple Store in New York City. This was the 5th store i had tried in 3 cities. The iPad 2 is much lighter than the first iPad and you will notice this as soon as you start using the device. I picked up the white version just because it seemed different.
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5_GX8HLnU0
And now I'm back in India and the iPad2 works perfectly fine with my BSNL 3G microSIM. Hope that answers your question if the iPad2 is locked to AT&T !

Here is a video taken at the MeeGo conference which shows Angry Birds Magic on the Nokia C7. Rovio is working on Angry Birds Magic which basically bringing virtual and reality together.
It utilises the NFC functionality to help users interact with other people and objects. The phone in the video shows a Nokia C7 which has the NFC chip enabled thanks to Symbian Anna.
The game is very exciting and users can unlock new levels by syncing with another device. Soon the Nokia C7's will come pre-loaded with Angry Birds Magic.
