WishTel, the company which launched IRA THING 2 last month, has come up with IRA Comet HD, their first tablet with a 10.1-inch display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and has 1 GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy Note 800 (Note 10.1) launched in India for Rs. 39,990


Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 800 (Note 10.1) in India. The pre-booking for the 10-inch tablet started on the Samsung eStore last week. It packs in a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixel) TFT display, 1.4 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich). Micromax Funbook Pro officially launched for Rs. 9999

Micromax has officially launched the Funbook Pro that went on sale last month. It has 10.1-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display and is powered by 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has 0.3MP VGA front-facing camera and 3G support via Tata Docomo Photon+ Dongle. In addition to their previous partners Everonn, Pearson and Vinti, they have now partnered with McGraw Hill for interactive study materials for students from class 1 to 12 that is  available for purchase on micro SD cards separately. New press images of the Sony Xperia Tablet has surfaced on XDA developers forum. This tablet passed through the FCC last month, and several slides of the tablet surfaced last week revealing the specs of the Sony’s upcoming tablet. Google Nexus 7 Unboxing

I was recently in the US on a short visit and managed to pick up the Google Nexus 7 first Android Tablet to run on Android 4.1 JellyBean. Here is a quick unboxing video of the this tiny little tablet from Google & Asus which is priced at $199 (excluding tax and shipping). This 7 inch tablet has a back-lit IPS display which sports a resolution of 1280×800 pixels

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 launched with 1.4 GHz quad-core Processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.0

Samsung has launched the GALAXY Note 10.1 that now comes with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of internal RAM. Samsung announced the GALAXY Note 10.1 at MWC 2012, but the specs of the device have been upgraded from that version. It also comes with a 5MP rear camera and a 1.9MP front-facing camera and S Pen input. This also includes unique features such as Smart Stay, Pop Up Play, AllShare Play and AllShare Group Cast. that were present in the Galaxy S3. 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook launching in Canada first on August 9th, others countries in coming months

 

RIM (Research in Motion) has finally announced the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook, after lot of rumors. Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Preview

At the Mobile Benchmarking Workshop here in San Francisco , Qualcomm showed off it’s next generation Quadcore mobile processor – the Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ 8064) .  And guess what Qualcomm just did not make just a boring announcement about a chipset and that the devices using the chip will be in the market later this year. But , Qualcomm let us use a tablet (prototype obviously ) which uses the new quadcore chip with 4 Krait cores along with the new Adreno 320 GPU. Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad IS701C, their new tablet running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) 16 million color Multi Touch Capacitive touch screen display with  16:9 aspect ratio and is powered by 1 GHz processor. INTEX i-Buddy 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 launched in South India for Rs 6,490

INTEX has launched i-Buddy tablet, their second Android tablet. They launched the iTab, 8-inch Android tablet earlier this March which got a price cut in May. This new INTEX i-Buddy tab has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is just 9mm thick. Reliance launches new 3G Android tablet for Rs. 14,499

Reliance Communications has launched Reliance 3G Tab, a new 3G Android tablet, upgraded version of their previous tablet that was launched last year. It is manufactured by ZTE and has 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1.4GHz processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
