Google’s own game streaming service Stadia, has become the next company to take advantage of increased number of people being quarantined at home. Starting today and rolling out over the next 48 hours, Google is offering a free trial of Stadia Pro, which usually costs $9.99/month, for the next two months in 14 countries.

MediaTek accused of providing mobile benchmark cheating as a service: Report

Benchmark apps have been existing for a long time now and almost every smartphone manufacturer is boasting the high benchmark scores that their smartphones achieve in these apps. While benchmark scores need not necessarily translate into real-time performance, smartphone companies in the past have been accused of manipulating the scores. On similar lines now, MediaTek has been accused of cheating mobile benchmark and providing it as a service.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 update finally starts rolling out [Update: New update with bug fixes and April security patch]

Update: April, 2020 – Xiaomi has started rolling out new build 11.0.11.0.QFQMIXM for the Mi A3 that is about 1.33GB in size bringing April Android security patch and also fixes bugs. This also adds Pro camera mode, but there is no Wi-Fi calling / VoWiFi support yet.

Samsung Galaxy A41 with 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED Infinity-U Display, 48MP triple rear cameras announced for global markets

Samsung announced Galaxy A41 in Japan for NTT Docomo last month, but that will no go on sale until June. Now it has introduced a new Galaxy A41 smartphone for the global markets. It packs a similar 6.1-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity screen with in-display fingerprint sensor, is powered by an Octa-Core processor (could be Snapdragon 675) with 4GB RAM, runs Android 10 with OneUI 2.0, and  features a 48-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, 5-megapixel depth sensor and a 25-megapixel front camera, but the camera design is different. MIUI gets Android 10 gesture navigation feature

Google released Android 10, the next version of Android back in September last year and OEMs are gradually rolling out the update. Android 10 has several new features including enhanced Privacy Controls, Smart Reply, Dark Theme, Gesture Navigation, and more. Xiaomi has been rolling out MIUI 11 based on Android 10 to its lineup of smartphones and now with the latest beta update in China, it is finally bringing the Android 10 gesture control feature.

Samsung just announced the Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G smartphones. These pack a 6.5-inch and 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED infinity displays with 20:9 aspect ratio, respectively, and are powered by Exynos 980 SoC with built-in 5G support and 8GB RAM. The A51 5G has a 48MP main camera with the A71 5G come with a 64MP main camera, Both these have 12MP 123-degree ultra-wide + 5MP macro and 5MP depth sensors and a 32-megapixel front camera. It packs a 65-inch 4K HDR OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, MEMC, support for DC dimming and the screen has TUV Rheinland certification. It has 24.9mm ultra-thin all-aluminum alloy body and the screen is just 5mm thick. Apple releases iOS 13.4.1 and iPadOS 13.4.1 to fix FaceTime bug

Apple released iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 with new Memoji stickers, Files app iCloud Folder Sharing, Trackpad Support for iPad and more couple of weeks back. Now it has rolled out iOS 13.4.1 and iPadOS 13.4.1 updates to fix FaceTime bug that prevented iOS and iPadOS devices from participating in FaceTime calls with devices running iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier. It also fixes a bug in the settings app that could cause choosing Bluetooth from the quick actions menu on the Home screen to fail. Samsung Galaxy M10, M10s and M20 discontinued in India

Samsung launched its then online-only Galaxy M Series smartphones in January 2019 and has rapidly expanded the lineup, with the recent launch being the Galaxy M21. Now, 3 smartphones in the Galaxy M lineup – Galaxy M10, Galaxy M10s, and Galaxy M20 have been removed from Samsung India’s official website.

Google will require A/B Seamless System updates for phones launching with Android 11

Google introduced seamless updates back in 2016 with Android 7.0. Any Android smartphone that features Seamless System updates will have two partitions; A and B and when a firmware update arrives, it is downloaded and installed on the second inactive partition. Once the update is downloaded and installed, the phone will boot into the newly updated firmware.
