After teasing the phone, Moto has finally sent out invites for the launch of its Moto G5S Plus smartphone in India on August 29th exclusively on Amazon.in. It was introduced earlier this month and has 13-megapixel dual rear cameras with selective focus mode for portraits, adding blurred background effect, selective black and white coloring, replace background mode and more and an improved 8-megapixel front camera with flash.
Samsung launched Bixby Voice assistant in U.S. English for Galaxy S8 and S8+ users in the United States and Korea last month. Vivo just sent out invites for the launch V7+, its upcoming smartphone in the ‘V series’ and the successor of last year’s V5 Plus in India on September 7th in India. The invite says Get Ready to Capture Clear Shot Clear Moment and also says that Redefine the selfie experience with the revolutionary selfie camera that reveals that it will be a selfie-focused smartphone, similar to the predecessor. It also shows minimal bezels, but we have to wait to find out how the original phone is.

Micromax has launched Canvas Infinity, the company’s latest smartphone in the Canvas series, as it had promised. It has a 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels offering 83% screen-to-body ratio, which the company calls Full Vision. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform, runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) that is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that also has an LED flash. Google has finally confirmed that Android 8.0 ‘O’ will be called Oreo. It has also released final system images for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Pixel and Pixel XL that can be downloaded from Android developer website here and also started rolling out OTA update for those who have signed up for beta program. Xiaomi just announced Redmi Note 5A, its latest budget smartphone as it had promised in two versions. Both the phones have a 5.5-inch HD screen and come with a 13-megapixel rear camera, but the standard version is powered by a Snapdragon 425 and has 2GB RAM, while the top-end version comes with Snapdragon 435 with 3GB or 4GB RAM, also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
