HUAWEI launched its flagship Kirin 990 7nm SoC and Kirin 990 5G Octa-Core SoCs at IFA 2019. Kirin 990 5G has a built-in 5G modem and is the first full-frequency 5G SoC to support both non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) architectures as well as TDD/FDD full frequency bands. Today, HUAWEI has announced that the Kirin 990 and Kirin 990 5G SoC will be available soon in India and will power upcoming HUAWEI smartphones.
Android TVs are gaining popularity in India and many brands are introducing Smart TVs running Android TV at aggressive prices like Xiaomi Mi TV series, Motorola Android TV series and more. In a bid to help users get most out of their Smart TV, Google has now introduced four new India specific features for Android TV including Data Saver, Data Alerts, Hotspot Guide, and offline media cast.
Xiaomi just launched the most expected Mi Smart Band 4 in India, as it had promised. It has a 0.95-inch AMOLED color touch screen display, which is 39.9% bigger than the predecessor so that it can display more characters and is protected by 2.5D scratch-resistant glass. Xiaomi just launched the Mi Smart Water Purifier with RO + UV purification in India at its Smarter Living event. It has a minimalist design and has five stages of purification. It has a 7 liter tank and is made of FDA approved material. The purifier has five stages of filtration that includes Polypropylene cotton filter, activated carbon filer, RO, Post Activated Carbon filer and in-tank UV sterilization.
Xiaomi to launched its range of Mi TVs in India, including its 65-inch 4K TV, as it had promised. There is also a Mi TV 4X 43-inch and 50-inch 4K TV models with HDR support. There is also Mi TV 4A 40-inch Full HD TV. All these have 20W speakers with Dolby and DTS support and run PatchWall 2.0 with Android TV 9.0. It has also introduced Data Saver for India with data counter and cast from phone to TV easily.
Update: September 23rd – ASUS ROG has confirmed the launch of ROG Phone II in India on September 23rd on Flipkart.
Earlier this year, Google launched YouTube Music streaming service in India and the company also introduced student plans for Youtube Premium and YouTube Music Premium later. Expanding its lineup, Google has now officially launched YouTube Charts in India and is now available in over 56 countries alongside the global chart.
OnePlus just sent out invites for the launch on OnePlus 7T and OnePlus TV launch in India on September 26th,as rumored earlier. The company says that OnePlus 7T with a 90hz display to offer the smoothest experience ever. The OnePlus TV will have a 55-inch QLED screen, support for Dolby Vision,
realme launched the most expected realme XT smartphone in India last week starting at Rs. 15,999. As it had announced at the launch, 64,000 units went on sale on Flipkart and realme.com at 12 noon today. realme has confirmed that it sold out in 4 minutes. Next sale will happen only on September 30th, during the Flipkart’s Big Billion days sale. It will likely stock more units since users will have to wait for two more weeks to get the phone. It offered 6 months free replacement for today’s sale.
Motorola today launched its new Smart TVs in India, as it had promised. These run Android TV 9.0, feature front firing wireless soundbar on the bottom, comes with DTS TruSurround and support for MEMC (4K models only) that removes latency during the scene shift, thus, making it a smoother viewing and gaming experience. 4K models also support Dolby Vision and HDR10, which the company calls autotunerX .

Motorola has launched Moto E6s, the company’s latest smartphone in the E series in India, as it had promised. It was introduced as E6 Plus at the IFA last month and packs a 6.1-inch HD+ Max Vision display, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 with 4GB RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie), features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, secondary 2-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
HMD Global launched the Nokia 4.2 back in May and the Nokia 3.2 was launched later in May. Today both the phones have received second price cut in about four months of launch, after a price cut in June. The phones are available at new rates on Nokia India online store and offline stores. These phones were introduced at the MWC earlier this year, come with dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots and notification light on the power button and a dedicated Google Assistant button.
