Samsung Galaxy S4 Snapdragon 600 vs Exynos 5 Octa Benchmarks
Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 in India last week. We brought you benchmarks of the Galaxy S4 powered by the Exynos 5 Octa last week. Here we have the results for the Galaxy S4 powered by a Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.9 GHz. The Exynos version uses Samsung’s ARM big.LITTLE architecture with fours Cortex A15 chips clocked at 1.6 GHz and four Cortex A7 chips running at 1.2 GHz. The Exnos 5 Octa chip has a PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU and the Snapdragon 600 chip has a Adreno 320 GPU. Let’s see how these two phones perform in various benchmark tests. Sony launched the Xperia SP in India earlier this month. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. It has a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. The MSM8960 chip in the Xperia SP is based on 28-nanometer (nm) process technology that offers less power consumption, unlike the Xperia SL. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Benchmarks
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 8.0 at the MWC 2013 earlier this year. Samsung announced at the Samsung India Forum 2013 in Hyderabad last month that the tablet would launch in India as Galaxy Note 510. Samsung put the Note 510 for pre-order last week at a price tag of Rs. 30,990. Here we have the benchmarks of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5110), Wi-Fi variant of the tablet. Even though the tablet which we tested didn’t have 3G support, the benchmarks are likely to be similar since these are powered by a Exynos 4 Quad (4412) CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz and a Mali-400 MP4 GPU. Same had used this processor in the Galaxy Note 2 that was launched last year.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Exynos 5 Octa Benchmarks
The long awaited Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched in India today to provide tough competition to the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z. As expected, it is the Exynos Octa version of the handset that has been launched in India. Developed by Samsung and using the ARM big.LITTLE architecture, the handset is expected to deliver exceptional battery life.
While the chip does have eight processing cores, the heavy lifting is to be done by four of the Cortex A15 type chips clocked at 1.6 GHz. Meanwhile the remaining four Cortex A7 chips running at 1.2 GHz will assist during less intensive tasks. ARM’s hypervisor working at the kernel level will switch between the A7 and A15 cores depending on intensity of the task involved. While we’ve just begun to scratch the surface of the Samsung Galaxy S4, here are a few preliminary benchmarks to give you an idea of the kind of performance to expect.

Asus launched the Fonepad in India yesterday at a price tag of Rs. 15999. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here are the benchmarks of the device. The Fonepad is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 single-core processor with Power VR SGX540 GPU. Xolo launched the X500 powered by this processor earlier this year.
