118.9 million wearables shipped worldwide in Q4 2019, up 82.3% YoY: IDC

The wearables market worldwide grew substantially by 82.3% in Q4 2019, shipping 118.9 million units according to a report from IDC. The total shipments for the year 2019 amounted to 336.5 million devices which calculates to 89.0% increase compared to last year. The top five companies for Q4 2019 were Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei and Fitbit.

66% of phones in Q3 2016 were Made in India: CMR

India shipped 197.5 million mobile handsets, of which 78.4 million were alone shipped during the third quarter of the calendar year, according to CMR’s India Monthly Mobile Handset Market Review Report for 3Q 2016 ending September 2016. The report revealed that 66% of the phones in Q3 were Made in India.

More than 15.8 million 4G LTE devices shipped in India in Q1 2016: CMR

More than 15.8 million 4G devices were shipped in the first quarter of 2016, according to the CMR’s 1Q CY report of India LTE Devices. Of these, 97.9% were smartphones, 1.5% were DataCards and the remaining 0.6% were tablet PCs. This amounts to 63% of the cellular devices shipped through the quarter.
