Gerry Moth from Nokia Addict has now found out the correct way to copy paste from webpages on E71 and E61i.

How to Do Copy Paste:

You just have to press 1 or hold the OK d-pad key down for a while and then you will be able to select text/copy text or paste the text.

Update: If inline editing is disabled, then the native phone UI in E71/E61i takes over and CTRL+C / CTRL+V will start working again. To disable Inline editing, just go to the “Settings -> Advanced ->Inline Editing” in Opera Mini 5.

While only the premier mobile phones like the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Nokia S60 phones enjoy a lot of attention in the mobile application domain, most of the mobile subscribers around the world use only an entry level phone or any basic feature phone.

The OneApp application will be compatible with most feature phones that has support for Java and is also very lightweight with an on-phone footprint of just around 150 KB which makes the installation very easy and very fast. Also it will launch only the part of the application which the user wants to use, hence saving on the precious system resources of the phone. Microsoft has also added that, if need be, they will store some of the programs’ data on its own servers to ease constraints on mobile phones.

This OneApp platform comes as a great news to all the mobile application developers since mobile apps are now quickly becoming the driving force in a mobile phone rather than the hardware, all thanks to the immense popularity of iPhone’s App Store and Nokia’s Budding Ovi Store.

Qik’s free service allows users to stream video live to the Internet from their mobile phone, while those watching the videos on the web can engage in live interactive chat with the person broadcasting.

It is not only Nokia that launches a remake of its previous models or adds a tag ‘classic’ to its already old outdated model numbers as it has run out of numbers.

Latest to jump into this bandwagon is SE. Remi is the code name for the latest Sony Ericsson handset. A replica of the classic pioneer handset T610i that catapulted SE into the mass market segment. The Sony Ericsson Remi is apparently based on the Sony Ericsson W890 platform. It will feature a 3.2 megapixel camera and HSDPA. The handset looks sturdy and a little bit bulky.

Maybe SE is trying to get back its glory of the (g)olden days when T610i was making its rounds as a excellent sought after phone.

Hands-On Mobile, Inc., the world’s leading developer of connected games and applications, and Marvel Entertainment, Inc., announced the availability of a mobile game and personalization content around the big-screen adaptation of The Incredible Hulk. The game and content are currently available on select carriers worldwide.This coincides with the release of the movie with the same title.

In the mobile game, players take on the role of the titular super hero and hurl cars at enemies, scale cityscapes, dodge precision missiles, and battle The Abomination. In addition to featuring fully interactive and destructible environments, The Incredible Hulk re-creates scenes from the movies which players can smash through.

If all that smashing becomes tiring you can switch back to Hulks alter ego Bruce Banner and solve intriguing puzzles and other tasks.

The game is currently available for US market but will soon be available with Indian operators.

On the occasion Tatsuki Tomita, senior vice president (Consumer Solutions) of Opera Software, said, “Spice Mobiles has realized the potential of mobile browsing, and Opera is proud to be an integral part of their mission to bring full Internet access to affordable phones.”

well we are all familiar with the car mode as we have been using it for a while. well for walkers who love to do window shopping and gaze around the beauty of the metropolis Nokia has been kind enough as it has made an addition to the car mode that the existing users will be familiar with, 2.0 adds “Walk,” a new mode tailored to pedestrian use. Another new feature is the ability to purchase “multimedia guides” for destinations that hook you up with photo, video, and audio streams that detail places to go and things to see on your magical journey. Maps 2.0 also adds real-time traffic information and hybrid satellite views, a feature similar to Google Maps. The beta is available immediately, while a final cut is expected to be available in the second quarter of the year.

They have also announced a J2ME Java Application which lets users play videos without downloading them directly. But the sad news is that application is available only for Nokia’s N73, N95, E65, 6110, 6120 and SonyEricsson k800 and w880. But it should work pretty fine on any J2ME MIDP2.0 Phone . But the website m.youtube.com/app does not let you install it on any unsupported phone

But I stumbled upon wapreview blog  where I found the direct links to these downloadable Java jad/jar – both signed and unsigned versions

I tried installing it on a Nokia N82 and Nokia E61i. Seemed to install fine but could not play any videos even over a Wireless LAN connection, kept timing out . Looks like Youtube’s mobile servers are experiencing unexpected traffic after this announcement.
