Jump games launches official ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2012 game

Jump Games has launched the official mobile game of ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2012 for Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Java phones. This game lets you play T20 cricket in Challenge mode or quick match. The games are also scheduled according to the ICC schedule for the World Cup in Sri Lanka – recreating the closest replica of the real world cup. You can also participate in the Jump Games online cricket quiz to stand a chance to win ticket to see the ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2012 live. Apple iPhone 5 Prices Compared across the World

Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 few hours back, and announced that it would go one sale in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK on Friday, September 21. While they have only released the contract pricing for the US, they have announced the contract-free pricing for other countries. We decided to do a comparison of the price of the iPhone 5 in Canada, France,  Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK and convert them to Indian Rupees INR. It would go on sale in 22 more countries on September 28 and is expected in 100 countries with 240 carriers by December 2012. So, India might get the iPhone before that. Apple iPhone 5 Unlocked Prices for USA Revealed

When Apple launched the iPhone 5 yesterday , only contract pricing for the device was revealed for the US market, starting from $199 for the 16GB version ,  $299 for the 32GB version and $399 for the 64GB version. We did tell you about the Unlocked iPhone 5 prices for UK and Singapore . But now the Apple US site is displaying some prices for the iPhone which seems like the prices for the unlocked versions. It might also be a typo as these were the prices at which the iPhone 4S was available previously.

Apple iPhone 5 Launch Countries and Rollout

Apple will be launching the iPhone on September 21 in 9 countries – Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the US and the UK.  Apple will begin taking pre-orders in these countries this Friday September 14. Interestingly UK, Singapore and Hong Kong are countries in which Apple sells iPhones at the full price and mostly unlocked.  If you plan to be one of the 1st to own the iPhone 5 and live outside the US, may be you should ping your friends in these 3 countries or may be take an iVacation. Apple iPhone 5 Singapore Prices are Revealed , starts from S$948

Singapore is one of the few countries getting the iPhone 5 on launch day September 21 and Singapore is one of those markets where Apple directly sells unlocked iPhones on it’s online store to consumers.  The 16GB iPhone 5 is expected to cost 948 SGD (Singapore Dollars).  Apple will start taking Pre-orders on September 14.

Apple iPhone 5 with 4 inch display announced, Ships on 21st September

Apple has finally announced the iPhone 5, successor of the iPhone 4S. It has a larger 4-inch display with 16:9 aspect ratio, that varies from earlier iPhones. It packs in a Apple A6 Processor and a better graphic engine.

The back of the phone has been  redesigned with dual tone aluminum while the front retains the glass as seen on the iPhone 4S. The phone is much thinner at just 7.6 mm. It weighs only 122 grams.It runs on iOS 6 and comes with 4G LTE support. It has an improved battery that offers 10 hours of 4G talktime and 8 hours of 3G talktime. Evolution of the iPhone – Video Feature

Call me crazy but I still have my 1st iPhone which I got in 2007 and guess what ? it still works. As we are expecting the next iPhone later today, we decided to bring all the iPhones to the FoneArena labs for a little geeky celebration and sit back and think how the iPhone has evolved over the years.We put together this lttile video while killing time counting-down for the iPhone 5 or what ever Apple decides to call it.

Google releases new YouTube app for iPhone

Since the license to include the YouTube app in iOS is over Apple removed the YouTube app in the latest iOS 6 beta, and said it would not come pre-installed with the iOS 6. Now, Google has released a separate YouTube app for iPhone. This app has new UI that looks similar to the Android app with the channel guide UI that shows subscribed channel on the left pane. It also has a search box with auto complete feature and voice search option. Is this the nano SIM card for the iPhone 5 ?

We told you last year that a nano SIM card which is smaller than the already tiny microSIM card is in the works. Then there were rumours floating around that the next iPhone or the iPhone 5 would be using the nano SIM card slot.What followed was Apple, Nokia , RIM and Motorola defending for their own proposals at the industry standards body known as European Telecommunication Standards Institute ETSI . Samsung to pay $1.05 billion in damages to Apple for infringing patents

The jury presiding over the Apple vs Samsung trial in a US court has just reached a verdict. We were thinking this trial would last several weeks or even months and to everyone’s surprise the jury announced the verdict just minutes ago. Pretty bad news from Samsung has it has been found to infringe several patents owned by Apple.  Samsung must pay Apple $1 billion, 51 million 855 thousand dollars $1051855000 . That is about Rs.5828.33 crores or five thousand odd crores of rupees in damages to just give you an idea about the magnitude of the verdict. Facebook for iPhone and iPad received the major update to version 5.0. The new app has been built from ground up using the native SDK rather than the previous versions that used HTML5. Feel on app for Android and iPhone turns Twitter feed into comics

Feel on! for Twitter by a Japanese company L is B Corporation turns your twitter timeline into comics by analyzing text data. You can choose illustration of famous anime and game characters, attach to your tweets and send. You can also use the Normal Mode to read tweets. The Japanese version was launched in April 2011 that has more than 250,000 users. The English version was launched for Android last month and for iPhone earlier this month.
