Xiaomi Mi A1 Android Oreo update resumes with January security patch, includes bug fixes

Xiaomi started rolling out Android Oreo update for Mi A1 smartphone on 31st December as it had promised. Later it pulled the update due to bugs and said that it will resume in a couple of weeks after fixing the bugs. Now the company confirmed that it has started rolling out a new OPR1.170623.026.8.1.10 update for the smartphone that includes Android Security patch for January 2018 and also includes bug fixes.

The images of the upcoming Sharp Aquos S3 have surfaced as it has been certified by the Taiwanese telecommunications regulator. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Android Oreo Global Beta testing to start soon

Xiaomi announced Mi Mix 2 in India back in Oct running MIUI 8 on top of Nougat, device received the MIUI 9 Stable update in November itself but Xiaomi did not release any official statement regarding Android Oreo update for the device. The company recently rolled out Android Oreo to Mi A1 which was launched in partnership with Google under Android One program. A fortnight ago company started recruiting Beta testers for Mi 6, and it started rolling out Oreo based MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM to Beta testers last week. Nokia 6 Android 8.0 Oreo beta update starts rolling out in India

HMD global has started rolling out Oreo beta update for the Nokia 6 last month, but it was not available in India at that time. Today it has started rolling out the update for the Indian users of the phone, as it had promised after a couple of improvements. Moto G4 Play finally gets Android 7.1.1 Nougat update

When all the phones are getting Android 8.0 (Oreo), Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) update for the Moto G4 Play smartphone staring from Brazil. It  was launched back in 2016 running Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), but it did not get the Android 7.0 update and is directly being updated to 7.1.1, months after the soak test. Nokia 6 (2018) with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 630, 4GB RAM, metal body announced

HMD Global today announced Nokia 6 (2018), the company’s latest mid-range smartphone and the successor of last year’s Nokia 6, smartphone in China, as expected. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by Snapdragon 630 Mobile platform, runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), which is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo), has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Pixel 2 Portrait mode ported to non-Google devices running Android Oreo

Among the many other features the newly launched Pixel 2 series rock, Portrait mode surely caught the attention. Micromax said to launch Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone this January for Rs. 2000

Android Oreo (Go Edition) is Google’s trim down version of Android for low-cost phones with 512MB to 1GB RAM. The company announced the project back in May and said that it would be available from early 2018. The company is all set to launch the first phone in India in partnership with Micromax later this month, according to a new report.
