RED HYDROGEN ONE smartphone with Holographic display coming to AT&T and Verizon in August

RED, popular for its high-end cameras back in July last year had introduced the RED HYDROGEN ONE. Though the initial launch date was Q1 2018, after delaying it for a while, the phone is finally coming to AT&T and Verizon in the USA and Telcel in Mexico in August. Pre-orders will ship about a month before the official launch date.

Verizon Communications and Yahoo back in July last announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Verizon will acquire Yahoo’s operating business for approximately $4.83 billion in cash. Today both the companies have announced that they have agreed to reduce the price Verizon will pay to acquire Yahoo’s operating business by $350 million. Verizon’s acquisition of Yahoo is now valued at approximately $4.48 billion in cash. U.S operator Verizon today announced “Verizon Unlimited” that offers unlimited data, calling and texting (to Mexico and Canada) and up to 500 MB/day of 4G LTE roaming (in Mexico and Canada) at $80 per month for individual line or $45 per line for four lines with unlimited data, talk and text. Asus ZenPad Z10 with 9.7-inch QXGA display, Snapdragon 650, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE announced

Asus has announced ZenPad Z10 (ZT500KL), the company’s latest tablet for US operator Verizon Wireless, which is a larger version of the ZenPad Z8 that was introduced back in June. It has a 9.7-inch QXGA display, is powered an hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ZenUI on top. This excludes Yahoo’s cash, its shares in Alibaba Group Holdings and Yahoo Japan, Yahoo’s convertible notes, certain minority investments, and Yahoo’s non-core patents. Motorola DROID Turbo 2 with shatterproof display and DROID Maxx 2 announced

Motorola has announced the most expected DROID Turbo 2 smartphone along with the DROID Maxx 2. The DROID Turbo 2 is an enhanced version of the Moto X Style that packs a slightly smaller 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED 540 ppi display. It also has  Moto ShatterShield, the world’s first shatterproof display. Motorola says that the display is guaranteed not to crack or shatter for up to 4 years. It packs a Snapdragon 810 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 3760mAh battery, slightly bigger than the Moto X Style and has the same front and rear cameras. The DROID Maxx 2 is a variant of Moto X Play. Motorola DROID Maxx 2 and DROID Turbo 2 might be headed to Verizon soon

Apparently Motorola is planning to launch not one but two new handsets on Verizon this year. They are expected to be the DROID Maxx 2 and the DROID Turbo 2. The former is expected to be a mid-range device that is said to be a rebranded version of the Moto X Play.
