Xolo Q700i with 4.5-inch display, Android 4.2 now available for Rs. 11999

Xolo Q700i, the new Xolo phone in the Q CORE series that was spotted online earlier this week, is now available from online retailers Flipkart and Infibeam. Xolo launched the Q700 back in May, and most of the features in the Q700i are similar to the Q700.  It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology,  powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Xolo launched the Q700, the company’s second smartphone in the Q CORE series back in May. We reviewed it in June, now the Q700i, an upgraded version of the Q700 has been listed on Flipkart. The Q700i has almost similar features including a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology,  1.2 GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Xolo Play Tegra Note with Tegra 4 launching mid-October, Xolo Play Tab 7.0 with Tegra 3 coming this month

NVIDIA unveiled the Tegra Note, the company’s first Tegra 4 tablet last week. It partnered with Xolo to launch the tablet in India. NVIDIA Co Founder, President and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang showed off the Xolo Play Tegra Note at an event in Mumbai yesterday. Xolo Play Tegra Note will launch in mid-october and will be priced around Rs. 20,000,  said Sunil Raina, Business Head, Xolo in a statement to FoneArena. Xolo had launched several smartphones in the Q CORE series, the Q1000S is the company’s latest smartphone in the series. It is also the successor of the Q1000 that was launched back in May. The Q1000S that was launched at the end of August at a price tag of Rs. 18,999 has the same 5-inch display, but this has an upgraded 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6489 Turbo processor, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Xolo Q1000S Benchmarks

Xolo Q1000S Benchmarks

Xolo launched the Q1000S, successor of the Q1000 at a price tag of Rs. 18,999 last month. We brought you the unboxing of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device.  It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. Since this has a faster processor, the scores would obviously be better than the MT6589 chip clocked at 1.2 GHz present in the Q1000. The Spice Pinnacle FHD Mi-525 that was launched back in July also has the same chip. Xolo launched the Q1000S, successor of the Q1000 last month. Here we have the device for review. Let’s check out the unboxing first. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display at 295 PPI based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) similar to the Q1000 that was launched back in May. Apart from the design, the processor, camera and the battery has been upgraded.

Xolo has launched the Xolo Tab, the company’s first tablet. It went on sale online recently and packs  a 8-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) multi-touch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 (MSM8225Q) processor with Adreno 203 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera with 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has 3G support via a SIM card slot and has voice calling capabilities. Xolo Play gets a new OTA update, improves performance

Xolo has announced that they have started rolling out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for the Xolo Play that improves the performance of the update. The Xolo Play (T1000) was launched last month, and we reviewed the device recently. It is the first phone from Xolo to be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. The graphics is taken care of 416 MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU.  It runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), sadly the new update does not bring Android 4.2.

Xolo has started teasing a upcoming smartphone on the Facebook page. The image just shows back of the smartphone that also shows how thin the smartphone is. This might be the Xolo Q1000S, which we reported last month that would be just 6.8mm thick. You can also see the camera bulge and the back is likely to have a matte finish. Xolo X1000 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OTA update now available

Xolo has announced that they have finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xolo X1000. It was launched back in March running on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). At the time of launch Xolo promised to update the phone to Jelly Bean in a couple of month, the update was expected to launch back in June, but it was delayed. Xolo Play T1000 Vs Samsung Galaxy Grand

Xolo is trying to target the mid-range smartphone market and their latest attempt is the gaming powerhouse – Xolo Play T1000 packing a NVidia Tegra 3 SoC. Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082) way back in January and it has been a huge hit for the company.
