Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55-inch Review

In the last 2 years, the Indian smart TV market saw a huge influx of products from many smartphone manufacturers. One of the biggest companies among them is Xiaomi, who first launched the Mi TV 4 back in February 2018. Since then their portfolio in the smart TV has expanded, and they now offer 9 TVs, across two product series and various sizes ranging from 32 inches to 65 inches. The Mi TV QLED 4K in particular comes in 55 -inch variant and here is our review of the device.

Xiaomi receives relief as US Judge suspends US DoD Blacklist decision

Back in January, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) released a blacklist of 9 companies that they claimed to be under the control of the Chinese Military, among which Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi was included. After contesting the decision last month, a U.S. federal judge has now temporarily blocked the DoD from enforcing the consequences of the decision.

MIUI Global Stable ROM testing program announced for range of Xiaomi and POCO phones ahead of MIUI 12.5 roll out

Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 12.5 along with Mi 11 at a global event back last month. As per the schedule, the eligible devices will start receiving the MIUI 12.5 update starting Q2 2021. Now, the company has announced MIUI Global Stable ROM testing program ahead of MIUI 12.5 roll-out. Along with Xiaomi, POCO has also announced MIUI Stable testing program for a few devices.

Redmi Smart TV launching in India on March 17

After a teaser at the end of the Redmi Note 10 series launch event the company today announced an event on March 17th to launch the first Redmi Smart TV in India, as per the teaser posted by the company. It says Bigger, better? Nah, we’re going straight to XL! Star-struck. This hints that the company might launch a large-screen TV in India. Xiaomi just launched the Redmi Note 10, the company’s latest mid-range Redmi smartphone in India as it had promised. It comes with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with up to 1100 nits brightness, 120Hz touch sampling rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside the 3.54mm punch-hole there is a 13-megapixel camera. It is the first phone in India to be powered by the Snapdragon 678 Mobile Platform. It has up to 6GB of RAM, dual layer graphite sheet and runs Android 11 with MIUI 12, and will get the MIUI 12.5 update soon. These come with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1200 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Inside the tiny 2.96mm punch-hole there is a 16-megapixel camera. Both the phones are powered by Snapdragon 732G Mobile Platform with up to 8GB of RAM, dual graphite sheet and run Android 11 with MIUI 12, and will get the MIUI 12.5 update soon.
