Sony launched the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India last week. We already brought you the review of the Xperia Z3, here we have the benchmarks. . It is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM 8274AC) 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.46 GHz power core and has Adreno 330 GPU. It has a 5-inch full HD display and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). We had already seen several smartphones with this SoC. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below. When Sony launched its flagsip ie the Xperia Z2 a few months back, we said that it felt like a device where the thought was on making improvements all around. Improvements that made sense and improved the experience. Fast forward 6 months and Sony already has a successor to their flagship device. Way too early? Sony Xperia Z3 Compact launched in India for Rs. 44990

Sony has launched the Xperia Z3 Compact along with the Xperia Z3 in India. It was unveiled earlier this month at the IFA and packs a 4.6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine, slightly larger than the Z1 Compact, powered by slightly faster 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. It has the same 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens, 4K video recording and a 2.2-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera, similar to the Xperia Z3. Sony has launched the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India, as expected. It was unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month. Even though the 5.2-inch 1080p display and the 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor are similar to the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 has a more brighter screen, powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact launching in India on September 25th

Sony was expected to launch the Xperia Z3 in India last week, but it didn’t happen. Today the company has sent out invites for a launch event in India on September 25th. It is expected to launch both the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact at the event later this week. The Sony Xperia Z3 is powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC, has a more rounded sides and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box, compared to the Xperia Z2. Sony seeks $1.7 billion loss due to sluggish smartphone sales

Sony has predicted a staggering net loss of 230 billion yen ($2.1 billion) for its fiscal year ending next March. That is nearly five times the 50 billion yen loss the company’s previous forecast. The company said it would not pay a dividend this business year after it was hit by a 180 billion yen ($1.7 billion) impairment charge for its struggling smartphone division.

Sony Xperia E3 and E3 Dual launched in India for Rs. 11990 and Rs. 12990

Sony has launched the Xperia E3 and Xperia E3 Dual, the company’s latest smartphones in the E series. Both these smartphones were unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month and come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA touch screen display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Sony is all set to launch the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India on September 19th. It was unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month and is currently on pre-order across several countries worldwide. Even though the display and the camera are similar to the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 has a more brighter screen, powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Sony Xperia Z3 Compact up for pre-order in UK at 349 GBP

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact that was unveiled earlier this month at the IFA 2014. The pricing was revealed as 429 GBP in UK, and online retailer Clove started taking pre-orders for the smartphone 432 GBP including VAT, now it has announced that the price of the Xperia Z3 Compact has been slashed to 349 GBP (US$ 560 or Rs. 34,460 approx) including VAT and 290.83 GBP (US$ 470 or Rs. 28,710 approx) excluding VAT. It would go on sale later this month. However, the official Sony Mobile store in UK is still taking pre-orders from the smartphone at 429 GBP. Sony Xperia L, M, C and SP not getting Android KitKat update

Sony has announced that its will not add further Android updates to Xperia L, M, C and SP.  That means that for those of you who own these smartphones, an Android update will not be issued.

Sony unveiled the Xperia Z3, the latest flagship smartphone in its Z series earlier this month, the official wireless charging cover (WCR14) for the Xperia Z3 is now available for pre-order in the UK from Clove. The Charging cover also acts as a protective cover and a stand that offers variable viewing angle for viewing videos comfortably. Sony starts rolling out Android 4.4.4 update for Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z

Sony has announced that it has started rolling out Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) update for last year’s Xperia Z lineup that includes, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and the Xperia Tablet Z. It rolled out Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for these devices back in May.
