Samsung Galaxy Tab Active

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Tab Active, the company’s first rugged Galaxy Tablet with anti-shock covering that can withstand a 1.2-meter drop, with the protective cover on. It is also water and dust resistant with IP67 certification. It has 8.0-inch WXGA displays, powered by 1.2 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It comes in WiFi and 3G / LTE variants. It has physical keys below the display.

It has a 5.6-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) QHD Super AMOLED display that bends on the right side that utilizes 160 pixels and gives you access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality even when the cover is closed with the swipe of a thumb.  It is powered by a 2.7 quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new Samsung UI. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Smart OIS and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. Android Police has got hold of the official press image of Note 4 Edge along with Note 4, but a user has posted a large image of the Note Edge in white color. Today the company has launched a budget smartphone called Galaxy V (SM-G313HZ) in Malaysia. Samsung buys mobile cloud company PrinterOn

With an aim to bolster its mobile cloud services, Samsung has acquired mobile cloud company PrinterOn for an undisclosed sum. As a result of the acquisition, the Ontario, Canada based company will continue to operate as wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Canada.
