Today Amazon has announced that the Galaxy J1 smartphone will be available with them in India starting tomorrow, February 11th with exciting offers. As we already know, the Galaxy J1 packs a 4.3-inch WVGA display, is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat). Samsung, Microsoft settle contract dispute over patent royalties

Samsung Electronics and Microsoft have settled their contract dispute in U.S. court as well as the ICC arbitration, said both the companies in a joint statement. Back in August last year Microsoft sued Samsung accusing it of breaching a collaboration agreement by initially refusing to make royalty payments after it announced its intention to acquire Nokia’s handset business in September 2013. It claimed that Samsung still owed $6.9 million in interest on more than $1 billion patent in royalties.

Three UK to sell the Samsung Galaxy A5

Samsung Galaxy E5 Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy E5 smartphone in the E series in India last month for Rs. 19,300.  We brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks. It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz, similar to other A and E series smartphones.  It has 1.5GB RAM, 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Samsung starts mass production of world’s first ePoP memory for smartphones

Samsung today announced that it has started mass producing of world’s first ePoP (embedded package on package) memory. This is a single memory package that includes a 3GB LPDDR3 DRAM, 32GB eMMC (embedded multi-media card) and a controller to be  used in high-end smartphones saving approximately 40 percent of space.
